Maligayang araw ng kasarinlan!

🇵🇭🇵🇭𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗪 𝗡𝗚 𝗞𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗔𝗡!🇵🇭🇵🇭

The 128th anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine independence is set to be celebrated simultaneously in various sites throughout the country.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. will lead the flag raising and wreath laying ceremony in the Jose Rizal National Monument in Rizal Park Luneta, Manila. He will be accompanied by NHCP Chair Regalado Trota Jose, Jr., top government officials, and members of the diplomatic corps. This will be followed by the Parada ng Kalayaan at the Quirino Grandstand.

Meanwhile, similar ceremonies will be held in the following sites:
• Emilio Aguinaldo Shrine, Kawit, Cavite with Governor Francisco Gabriel "Abeng" Remulla as guest of honor
• Andres Bonifacio National Monument, Caloocan City with Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rexlon "Rex" Gatchalian as guest of honor
• Barasoain Church Historical Landmark, Malolos City, Bulacan with NHCP Board Member and Philippine Historical Association president Francis "Chas" Navarro as guest of honor
• Pinaglabanan Memorial Shrine, San Juan City with Foreign Affairs Secretary Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro as guest of honor
• Museo ng Kasaysayang Panlipunan ng Pilipinas, Angeles City with Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo as guest of honor; and,
• Mausoleo de los Veteranos de la Revolucion, Manila with National Defense Undersecretary Ireneo Espino as guest of honor

In addition, local government units and Philippine embassies, consulates and diplomatic missions are encouraged to hold ceremonies and activities to celebrate Independence Day.

It has been 128 years since the Filipino revolutionary government led by President Emilio Aguinaldo proclaimed our nation’s independence from Spanish rule in Kawit, Cavite in 1898. Independence Day was celebrated until 1901 when the First Philippine Republic ended. After our independence was recognized internationally, it was celebrated on 4 July from 1946 until 1964 when Republic Act No. 4166 restored June 12 as Independence Day.

They stood by us through our happiest moments and helped carry us through our hardest days. Their wagging tails, gentle cuddles, and unwavering loyalty gave us strength when we needed it most.

Though their paws no longer walk beside us, their love remains forever woven into our hearts. The pain of missing them is a testament to how deeply they were loved.

⚠️ HEAT ALERT: 𝐃𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐑 𝐋𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐋 ☀️🥵

A friendly reminder to all our clients and pet owners:

With the heat index possibly reaching 45–47°C, extreme heat like this can quickly lead to heatstroke, for both people and pets.

🐾 Our pets rely on us to keep them safe, and this weather can be especially dangerous for them.

💧 Here are simple things you can do to help your pets stay cool and safe:
• Provide unlimited access to clean, fresh water
• Keep them in a cool, shaded, and well-ventilated area (preferably indoors)
• Avoid walks during peak heat hours (10 AM–4 PM)
• Never leave pets inside parked cars, even for a minute
• Use cooling mats, damp towels, or fans
• Give cool (not ice-cold) baths when needed

🚨 Watch for signs of heatstroke:
- Excessive
- Panting
- Drooling
- Vomiting
- Weakness or collapse

If you notice any of these signs, seek veterinary care immediately.

Let’s all stay alert, stay hydrated, and protect our furry family members during this extreme heat. 🐶🐱💛

The story of the brave, Cute 🐾💙

Cute, a 6-month-old male Japanese Spitz x Shih Tzu mix was rushed into our clinic as a critical patient. Cute was weak, had episodes of seizure, and in need of urgent care.

Those first moments were filled with uncertainty, but our doctor and the team moved quickly to stabilize him while performing thorough diagnostics to uncover the cause.

After carefully ruling out possible triggers of his seizures, Cute was diagnosed with acute kidney disease. For 3 days, he stayed in our clinic where he was closely monitored and treated. He was so cooperative and strong while receiving his treatment. Every small improvement became a victory worth celebrating.

While Cute is not fully out of the woods yet, his strength and determination have brought him far enough to finally go home where he can continue his medications and healing journey, surrounded by the love of his pawmily 🏡🐶
