𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀. 𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀. 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹.

Meet Amber, a 9-year-old female Toy Poodle who underwent three surgical procedures just 2 days ago.

She had a cystotomy (surgically opening the urinary bladder), a cystolithotomy (removal of bladder stones), and an ovariohysterectomy (spay).

And today, just 2 days after surgery, this sweet girl is going home with a bright smile! 🥹💚 No more painful urination and no more hematuria (blood in the urine).

And oh, by the way, this baby girl came all the way from Roxas City, Capiz! 🐶✨

𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀. 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿

Our strong warrior, Tamiya Anne, is finally going home after 6 days of hospitalization and recovery.💚

What started as persistent vomiting turned out to be much more than expected. During an exploratory surgery, we discovered a foreign body (a ball of yarn/cloth) lodged in her small intestine, causing an obstruction. We also found an enlarged spleen that needed to be removed, and because her stomach had become severely dilated from the blockage and prolonged vomiting, a gastropexy was performed as well.

In total, Tamiya underwent FOUR major procedures in a single surgery.

Despite everything she went through, this mighty 2-year-old girl amazed us all with her strength. Less than 24 hours after surgery, she was already eating and steadily on her way to recovery.

Stories like Tamiya's remind us how resilient our patients can be and how important it is to seek veterinary care when something doesn't seem right. Today, she heads home stronger, happier, and surrounded by the people who love her most.🥺

𝗔 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. 🐾

This toy below was retrieved from the small intestine of our 2-year-old patient who came in for chronic vomiting, lethargy and loss of appetite.

The blockage was successfully removed through an enterotomy surgery (a procedure where a small opening is made in the intestine to safely remove the object before closing it back up) led by Dr. Apple. Thankfully, her furparents were very cooperative with the treatment plan.

⚠️ 𝗗𝗼𝗴𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗻'𝘁. Always keep toys, socks, strings, and other small objects out of reach, and seek veterinary attention promptly if your pet develops persistent vomiting, loss of appetite, lethargy, or abdominal discomfort.

While everyone else was busy enjoying their school break, Patrick and Mariella decided to trade vacations to observe and assist in consultations, surgeries, laboratory tests, and patient rounds.

And we're so glad they did.

𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘄𝗵𝗼'𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗼 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲! 🐶💙

This is Muffin, a 1-year-old Shih Tzu who underwent a surgery yesterday for unilateral cryptorchidism, a condition where one testicle doesn't descend into the sc***um and remains inside the abdomen. Since the retained testicle can cause health problems later in life, surgery is the safest and best treatment.

Just one day later, he's already feeling great and acting like nothing ever happened! 😄 We're so happy with his smooth recovery and can't wait for him to continue healing at home.

Wishing this brave little guy a speedy recovery! 🩺✨

This handsome Persian boy is not soooo happy to see us today… 😾😂

He came in for his monthly preventives against intestinal worms, ticks, and fleas. Staying protected may not be his favourite part of the month, but it’s definitely worth it! 🐾💙

Don’t worry, handsome—we still love you, even with that grumpy face! 😹
