You Rock Gatsby🤟🏻
Gatsby’s After-Surgery Update: Gatsby had not been feeling well ever since I had brought him home from the hospital (after they removed his cancerous adrenal gland). He had many accidents on the carpet and refused to eat or drink anything (I even went and got him some chicken from the supermarket). He seemed confused of his surroundings. The surgeons said that his medication could cause this.
On the 2nd day, he finally agreed to drink some water and eat some boiled chicken. After that he finally started feeling better. He still told me that he didn’t want to walk out of the building to go potty so I would carry him (or use our cart). When I’d pick him up, he’d give me an appreciative lick to let me know “thank you.”
Day 3 was even better: he seemed aware of his surroundings (not so dazed and confused). He didn’t seem to be in pain and the surgeons said I could stop the pain medication on the 3rd day if he seems not to need it (so I did).
Today he is back to his personality. He walks out to go potty like normal. I’ll need to keep him calm for 10 more days. He is still getting a bland diet of home cooking but he hasn’t had any accidents.
Thanks again for all of your support. I’m just allowing Gatsby to rest and heal. He is doing well! ❤️🩹
