⚠️Be aware of people disguising as pet rescuers⚠️

Nowadays, many Facebook groups in the Philippines post content that show strays in different areas. While some posts came from reputable non-profit organizations, others simply take the photo of others and post saying that "Kailangan namin ng pangkain ng rescues namin".

How can you ensure that your donation is used for the good?

1. Ensure that the organization is registered and is a non-profit
2. Video call the "rescuer" or ask for videos with the rescuer's face in the camera.
3. Ask for questions that can know if they are passionate in rescuing strays. True rescuers have an exact location where you can drop off dog food and see if the rescues are present.
4. Check the history of the person through their profiles and be suspicious especially if you see pictures of them spending too much on items that are not for their rescues.
5. Instead of money, donate pet food or other pet items.

Stay vigilant in donating to various individuals or so called "rescuers".

Why do pets have shorter lives than us?

From a philosophical point of view, it is probably due to their absence of appetite for greater material wealth. A dog's life typically consists of following its owner, eating, pooping, peeing, sleeping, running, etc.

Think about it, dogs want nothing more from us besides our love and care for them. They don't have materialistic desires and they are free from any desire to cause evil to others. Ika-nga, dogs and cats are wholesome creatures that want the best for our lives.

Dogs don't need people's advice because they already have their whole life figured out for them. They already know the value of love and time spend with their loved ones. Dogs may even have all the 5 love languages of life.

So why should you care about pets?

It's because they too are living beings, like us. They live, breathe, and share the same air as us. If we aren't willing to share the love of giving to them, why else did the higher being allowed us to share the same planet as them?
