A concerned citizen has once again requested our help to rescue this dog, which has a large wound on its back and is infested with maggots. They are trying to cover the substantial veterinary expenses. The dog's surgery was complicated due to the extensive maggot removal. Currently, the dog is being cared for by the concerned citizen.

A concerned citizen asked our shelter for help to rescue a stray dog in Malinao. It's unknown if the dog was hit by a vehicle or if someone struck it. It had severe bleeding on its face and was immediately taken to the nearest veterinarian, who immediately stitched the wound. Thanks to the concerned citizen, who is willing to sponsor the dog and will shoulder all the vet expenses. ❤️🐕

This International Dog Day, let’s honor and show the world the pride of our own nation: our very own ASPINS! 🐕🇵🇭✨

Too often, many Filipinos still look to foreign breeds for beauty and prestige. They sadly forget, or even completely disregard, that our Aspins, our very own native dogs, are everything we could ever ask for in a compawnion.

Aspins embody all the best in dogs. They show unwavering loyalty and remarkable intelligence, and they never forget kindness, always repaying it with a lifetime of immeasurable love and affection. They are such beautiful beings with so much happiness and love to give.

But heartbreakingly, too many still face hardship. 95% of the animal cruelty reports PAWS receives involve Aspins. They remain among the most neglected, abandoned, and abused animals in their very own country. And yet, time and again, they show us that with the love and care they deserve, they always bloom into the most incredible companions that they were always meant to be.

This International Dog Day, let’s change the scene for Aspins. Let’s prioritize and commit to uplifting their image, protecting their welfare, and celebrating their spirit. Let’s show the world the pride of our nation by giving them the love and care they so deserve and work to give them a brighter and better future.

Every Aspin deserves respect and kindness. Every Aspin deserves a home. Aspins deserve to be cherished so deeply that they forget the days they were ever unloved and treated cruelly.

Thank you for inviting us! This meeting was about "Partnership of Local Animal Welfare Groups for Animal Welfare and Stray Animal Management" in the Municipality of Kalibo. Together with our Vice Mayor Hon. Phillip Y. Kimpo Jr., Hon. Ronald L. Marte, HOP (Home of Paws), AAAA (Association of Aklan Animal Advocates), and LGU Kalibo. We are hoping the planned project can be completed in the near future with the help of our colleagues in Animal Welfare. 🐕🐩🐈🐈‍⬛🐶🐱❤️
