"𝘾𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙋𝙮𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙧𝙖"

Mini, 11 yr old "Senior" mini pin, presented in our clinic with several concerns lethargic, vomiting, lost of appetite and diarrhea for days.Upon physical examination, We noticed a distended abdomen but no vaginal discharges and we immediately requested for x-ray and blood works.

Sad to say, She was diagnosed with "Closed Pyometra", a pus-filled uterus that can't drain due to the cervix is closed.

Mini's condition requires Emergency Surgery called "𝙊𝙫𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙝𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙢𝙮", to completely remove the infected uterus and ovaries.

Dr. Kim and our team performed the surgery with the consent of the fur-parents. This is a critical case the infection was severe and a blood transfusion was needed since her cbc result dropped. Thankfully, Mini is a fighter she did very well with the procedures and post op. She went home after 2 days like nothing happened. 😯

“𝘾𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝘾𝙖𝙡𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙞"

Abby, a 4-yr-old shih tzu was brought to our clinic presented with problems of passing out urine, our attending Veterinarian conducted a full physical exam, and an unusually distended urinary bladder is palpable, ultrasound was performed and showed presence of hyperechoic structures in the urinary bladder, this findings is consistent with “cystolith” a urinary bladder stone, for further evaluation an X-ray was requested and abby was diagnosed with “Cystic calculi” a condition wherein minerals precipitates and turns into a stone.

An immediate surgical operation known as “Cystotomy” was performed inorder to remove the stones inside the urinary bladder, the surgery was a success and abby made its full recovery.

If you noticed any problems with your pet's urination it's best to consult your veterinarian as early as possible, because early detection of diseases has huge impact in your pet's wellness.

1. Pet's must be healthy. No health issues.
2. Must be 8 months old & above.
3. Updated Anti-rabies Vaccine and Deworming, also recommended for core vaccines.
4. CBC is required before surgery.
5. Bloodchem is recommended for 3-5 years old & above. (If refuses, must sign a waiver)
6. Surgery will be scheduled after bloodtest.
7. Secure pets on a carrier /leash/ cage.
8.Fasting 8 -10 hrs upon scheduled surgery.
9. No waiting. Pick-up upon update.
10. Inheat or Pregnant Pet's are not recommended. Addt'l charge apply for accidental findings:
Inheat/Pregnant/Pyometra.
