One year ago, we lost Rosiben Violeta, the founder of Ben Animal Sanctuary and Rescue (BASAR). Though he left us far too soon, his love, compassion, and vision continue to live on through every rescued life and every paw we protect. 🤍

When he was still with us, Tatay Ben cared for the furbabies of BASAR as if they were his own—feeding them, tending to their needs, and ensuring that even the most neglected animals felt safe and loved. He believed that every life mattered, no matter how small or broken.

Today, we remember him not only with grief, but with gratitude. His legacy continues in every rescue, every adoption, and every act of kindness done in his name. BASAR stands because of his heart, and we will continue the mission he started—with the same love he showed our furbabies.

As we welcome the new year, our fur babies want to send their biggest thanks to everyone who supported, donated, shared our posts, and believed in our mission last year. Because of you, they were given warmth, care, and a second chance at life.

This year, we’re stepping into 2026 with renewed hope and purpose. We’re happy to share that BASAR will soon begin rescue operations again, reaching more animals in need and giving them the love and protection they deserve.

Apologies, for not being able to give an update regarding BASAR as we have been hit by a typhoons and earthquakes and our internet signal has been bad.

Rest assured our fur friends are safe.

✨ Hello BASar friends! ✨

It’s been a little while since our last update—apologies for going quiet, I was down with flu but slowly getting back on track. 💙 Thank you for your patience and for always keeping our furbabies in your thoughts.

🐾 The good news: our rescues are doing well! They’re happy, playful, and safe, especially now that our perimeter fence is finally completed. This means they have more space to run around securely while we continue giving them the care they deserve. 🐶💖 We’ve also started building a shade for them since it’s rainy season here in the Philippines—this way, the dogs can stay dry and comfortable no matter the weather. 🌧️🐶💖

Dogs at BASar remind us every day what unconditional love looks like—no matter their past, they continue to wag their tails, greet us with joy, and show resilience that inspires us all. 🌟

We’re setting up a new 200-meter perimeter fence for our newly rescued fur babies 🐶🐱 — a quiet, secure space where they can recover, heal, and slowly get back in shape before joining the rest of our big rescue family. 💚
