For who are we in the sight of God?
Are you truly better or stronger than others because you are untouched by their burdens?
Do you consider yourself more righteous because you are consistent in your devotion, yet fail to see the pride within your own heart?
Then the woes spoken to the Pharisees in Matthew 23 also apply to self-proclaimed righteousness.
If that is not the case, then let the words written in Romans 3 be considered lies, for the standard has already been set:
“What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.” — Romans 3:9–10 (KJV)
Read it through verse 21.
May the Lord lead you into the light and remove every darkened understanding.
