For the past two weeks, we have been searching everywhere for our lost cat, his name is Kiwi. We are still holding onto hope that we will find him, I still dont want to give up! I believe that Kiwi went outside and someone took our cat. (Kiwi knew his way home)
Then yesterday Feb 1 around 7:30 pm, Sir Keith Polintan called, an orange cat found his way to his home, coincidence that at that exact moment he was calling, we were talking about Kiwi, Sir Keith had seen our missing cat post and immediately reached out! He is from Lubao, Pampanga. We are from Guagua, malayo konti but trust me, you will take the smallest chance mahanap mo lang furbaby mo. We immediately rushed there with high hopes! thinking tha this is a miracle ready to unfold! Ito na! Makikita ko na ulit si Kiwi.
On the way, super excited kami! I was so happy imagine there was still Good samaritan out there! When we reached Sir Keith’s house, and saw the orange cat! I almost cried and hugged this cat, he looked so much like kiwi! Especially the stripes in his back. I was so sure that this was our cat! The cat even wagged his tail whenever I rubbed his belly just like Kiwi used to!
But something felt off. This cat had a sad face, his head was rounder than ours, but still I was in denial and really believing that this is ours, our Kiwiboy. We took him because almost 100 percent, he really looked like Kiwi. He even hissed but everytime I touched him, he wasn’t fighting back and enjoyed back rub. We thought that maybe because he roamed for 2 weeks, it was traumatic for him thats why he hissed (Parang nagtatampo ba parang ganun) and had a sad face. We took him home by the way to see how he would react to our other cats the way kiwi would do! I am hoping to get that familiar connection, lukso ng dugo ika nga.
When we got back, reality hit! Almost but not quite ika nga! Our joy turned to sadness when we confirmed that this was not our Kiwi. Mas kanguso si Kiwi, ito mas bilog mukha, mas maliit mata nito kesa kay Kiwi. But I was still in denial actually, I can see my Kiwi in him, as much as I want to pretend that this is Kiwi, He is not, and there is a furparent looking for him!
This post is not just for Kiwi but it is about helping the right owner of this cat, I know you are posting and desperately looking for your cat just as we are for Kiwi. I just dont know where to start! My theory is that this cat wandered outside (Possible near lubao, guagua, or Floridablanca as cats could roam miles away) someone had an interest in this cat, took it, and based on this cat’s smell, he was caged but well fed (He is still fat) before he managed to escape until he found his way to Sir Keith’s house.
It hurts that this cat cannot share his own story. Sir Keith really made an effort to find the rightful owner, he even told us if ever this is not our cat, if we could take care of this cat for the moment because they have many cats and we could reach a bigger audience to find the real owner. Madami na buhol buhok niya, may maliit na sugat sa paa sign na malayo layo na nilakad niya and mukhang inaway ng ibang pusa. But he is still sweet, he maybe 8 or 12 month old, possible the owner is female, mas tumatabi siya kay gf and pamangkin. I think the owner and I have the same philosophy, we want our pets to roam freely. Ayaw namin nagkukulong ng pusa. Alagang alaga ng owner yun ang sigurado.
It pains me not to find my Kiwi today, and I dont want other owners to experience this kind of pain, through us and your effort to share this post, we can find his WAY home, thats why for now I would call him WAY or WEI which means power, there is power in sharing this post! Help us! Let this cat find his WAY/WEI back home!
To his real owner, I am sure sobra nag aalala ka na sa kanya, ramdam kita! I know you are blaming yourself but dont lose hope! Aabot sayo ang post na to. Tiwala lang.
