🚨 Important Update About Rabies ‼️‼️‼️

We want to remind everyone that the information we’ve been sharing about rabies is accurate, evidence based, and extremely important for public safety.

Rabies is a real and deadly viral disease that affects the nervous system of humans and animals. Once symptoms appear, it is almost always fatal, which is why early awareness and prevention are critical.

During our 3 years clinic operation here in Gensan, we submitted and noted some of the patients that are suspect and positive for rabies. Those samples came from pets residing in Brgy. Mabuhay, Brgy. San Isidro and Brgy. Apopong, General Santos City.

What we’re saying in the clinic is not exaggeration or rumor. It is based on well-established public health facts. Staying informed can save lives, especially in areas where potential exposures may occur.

Here’s what everyone should remember:
✅ Rabies can be transmitted through the bite or scratch of an infected animal.
✅ Post-exposure treatment must be started as soon as possible after potential exposure.
✅ Vaccinating pets and avoiding contact with wild or stray animals are essential prevention steps.
✅ If in doubt, seek medical help immediately. It's always better to be safe.

Please help spread this message. Awareness is one of our strongest tools against rabies.
