We understand that visiting the vet can be a stressful experience for both cats and caregivers. Our top tips will help reduce some of that stress and anxiety 👇

🐱 Choose a sturdy and secure carrier, place a blanket from home inside for a familiar scent.

🐱 Leave the carrier out at home as an extra bed or safe space, so your cat doesn’t always associate it with leaving.

🐱 Spray the carrier with synthetic feline pheromones at least 15 minutes before putting your cat in it.

🐱 Cover the carrier with a cloth or towel while you are travelling to help keep your cat calm. Rather than holding the carrier by the handle, which can cause it to swing, carry it with both hands from underneath.

📢 List of qualified beneficiaries: Monday, March 30, 2026 5:00 PM
📍 Important: Only pre-registered pets will be accommodated. Walk-ins will not be allowed.
✅ 𝐆𝐔𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒 & 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒:
🐶 Dogs (Castration):
• For dogs 12 kg and below only
• Must be at least 3 months old and testicles must be palpable
🐶 Dogs (Spaying):
• For dogs 12 kg and below only
• No spaying of dogs will be conducted on pregnant animal • Must be atleast 1 year old
🐱 Cats (Spaying & Castration):
• Castration: 3 months old and above, with palpable testicles
• Spaying: 9 months old or 2.5 kg and above
• Must be healthy
⚠️ 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐬 & 𝐎𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬:
• Pets must undergo minimum fasting of 8 hours before the procedure
• 1 animal per owner only is allowed
• Dogs must be leashed; cats must be kept inside a cage
• The Albay Veterinary Office will not be responsible for lost or escaped animals
• Bring food and water for your own companions (not for the pets)
• As much as possible, avoid bringing young children and senior citizens to prevent accidents
• Owner must sign a Consent Form on the day of the activity
