PUPPY UPDATE 🐾
They’re getting better day by day — wounds are healing, energy’s coming back, and they’re eating well. Sobrang nakakatuwang makita. 💙

But despite the progress, still no one has expressed interest to adopt them. 😔

They survived so much already — and all we want now is for them to experience what it’s like to be truly safe, truly loved.

Daet Saving Strays is not a shelter or facility.
We’re a small, volunteer-led group — we don’t have a physical space to take in animals, and we rely solely on fosters, donations, and community support.

Our main goal?
To raise awareness about animal welfare and promote responsible pet ownership — kasi doon talaga nagsisimula (at natatapos) ang cycle ng neglect and abandonment.

So when you message us about surrenders or rescues, please know na gusto namin tumulong, pero may limits rin po kami. 🙏🏼

Let’s keep working together — with compassion, patience, and shared responsibility.

Cebu City is doing CNVR — Capture, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return.

It’s humane, it’s effective, and it actually makes sense.

Meanwhile, in other areas? Strays are still being caught, impounded, and let’s be real — we all know what usually happens after that. 😔

Like, bakit hindi natin kaya i-adapt ‘yung ganitong approach? Why do we keep choosing the cruel, short-term solution when there’s a better way?

It’s not just about catching dogs — it’s about breaking the cycle and treating them with compassion.
And it starts with us: Spay. Neuter. Vaccinate. Commit.

If you can’t love a pet for life, maybe you’re not ready to have one.

Let’s do better. Our strays deserve more than fear and cages.

No adopters yet. 💔

Despite their recovery and how much better they’re doing, wala pa rin pong gustong mag-adopt sa kanila.

These two survived wounds, maggots, and being abandoned — and now that they’re healing and finally masigla, all they need is a chance. A home. Someone to choose them.

We’re still accepting applicants, and as always, screening will be done.

We just really want to make sure they go to people who will love them for life.

PUPPY UPDATE

Good news! The two rescued puppies are doing so much better now.

Their wounds are drying up nicely, they’re more active, and nakakakain na sila with good appetite. Masigla na ulit! 💙

We’re now starting to look for potential adopters as early as now — so once they’re fully recovered, they can go straight to a loving, forever home.

(BTW — hindi po kasama ’yung pug sa picture, ha! Pampagulo lang siya 🤭)

As always, dadaan po sa screening ang lahat ng gustong mag-adopt. We want to make sure they go to homes where they’ll never be abandoned again.

VET BILL OFFICIALLY SETTLED! 🧾✅
Thanks to your help, the vet bills for King Charles and the rescued puppies are now fully paid!

Grabe, we seriously couldn’t have done this without your support — every donation, share, and kind message helped us push through. From rescue to recovery to adoption — and now, finally, zero balance at the vet! 💙

Next step:
We just need to find a loving home for the 2 remaining puppies. They’re healing well and getting stronger — all they need now is a fresh start with someone who’ll love them for life.
