Meet the heroic rescue dogs who traveled to Venezuela with one mission, to save lives.
When a devastating earthquake reduced homes to rubble, these four-legged heroes crossed borders without hesitation.
TSUNAMI, a Border Collie who is a source of great pride for Venezuela. He was rescued from a situation of abuse and neglect, and today he is one of the best-trained rescue dogs on the continent. At 9 years old, this is his final mission before retirement.
KAYRA, a remarkable 4-year-old Belgian Malinois is a key member of Peru's USAR (Urban Search and Rescue) Fire Department team. She has undergone intensive training to detect human scent beneath collapsed structures with exceptional accuracy.
DASTAN, a Belgian Malinois and official member of the Bogotá, Colombia Fire Department. Dastan is pure energy, speed, and agility-a true canine athlete trained exclusively to locate living people trapped beneath collapsed structures.
ORLY AND BALAM, these two Border Collies traveled from Mexico with the Red Cross and the renowned "Topos" rescue team. Heroism runs in their blood-they are the offspring of the legendary rescue dog Athos. They were trained in Querétaro to overcome obstacles and navigate the most challenging terrain thanks to their incredible agility.
RON, is a Labrador Retriever from Spain on his first international rescue mission. Alongside his handler, Paco Cobo, he traveled to Venezuela to search for survivors trapped beneath the rubble. His training and extraordinary sense of smell represent renewed hope for those who are still waiting to be found.
They don't care about fame, borders, or recognition. They simply go where they're needed, proving that courage comes with four paws and an unwavering heart.
