Another successful major surgery accomplished!

We performed a complex uterine and ovarian removal on our fragile poodle patient, Maxi. She was referred to us from a fellow veterinary clinic with significantly declining platelet and red blood cell levels. In addition, Maxi was battling kidney and liver injury, sepsis, and elevated cardiac markers.

Despite these serious challenges, we are grateful that the procedure was successful, and Maxi is now on her path to recovery.

Another life saved “Blake the Siberian Husky is back on his paws! 🐾

Blake came to us in critical condition, suffering from uncontrollable bleeding with dangerously low red blood cell and platelet levels. Immediate blood transfusion was performed, and through intensive care and close monitoring, he made an incredible recovery.

Seeing him regain his strength and return to his happy self is truly rewarding for our entire team.

What is Pyometra?

Pyometra is a secondary infection due to hormonal changes in a female's reproductive tract. If pregnancy does not occur for several estrous cycles, the lining increases in thickness until cysts form in the uterus. The thickened cystic lining secretes fluids, creating an ideal environment where bacteria can grow.

Pyometra is a serious and life-threatening infection in the uterus. The condition must be treated quickly and aggressively.
