2nd Relief and Veterinary Mission today in Northern Cebu of Philippine Veterinary Medical Association Central Visayas Chapter headed by Immediate Past President Dr. Maricel Garcia made a significant impact on local communities. By providing essential veterinary services like check-ups, deworming, anti-rabies vaccinations, vitamin supplements, and distributing food for dogs and cats, the group offered valuable support to the residents of Tabogon, North Cebu, in collaboration with the Municipal Agriculture Office of Tabogon was crucial for the mission's success., We served around 100 pets.
Our team's commitment extended beyond veterinary care, reaching out to mountain barangays in Tabogon to distribute relief packs to 96 recipients. This generous act undoubtedly brought much-needed help to these communities. Similarly, our visit to the Tent City in Bogo, Cebu, in collaboration with the Bogo City Veterinary Office under the leadership of Dr. Lalaine Anne Angeles, provided support to families and pets displaced by the 6.9 magnitude earthquake, highlighting the mission's diversity in addressing different needs.
These efforts were made possible through the generous backing of various donors. Special thanks go to PVMA National for their disaster and rescue project funds, as well as support from Dr. Cora Occidental, PVMA AMC, and other individuals who send money through bank and Gcash transfers. And the never ending support from various companies like AVLI Biocare Inc., Vetmate Farma, Zoetis, Pet Options, UNAHCO, Royal Canin, and Carchimillican. Individual contributions, especially those donated dog and cat food, were invaluable.
Finally, heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated team from Dr. M&M's Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Abegail Cabanayan and staff, Shambala Veterinary Clinics Vet and staffs, Dr. C Veterinary Clinic's Dr. Mae CaBangal & Doc Charlou Cabangal, and Doc Emy Non of AVLI Biocare Inc.
