PAGASA has placed Negros Island under RED ALERT as Typhoon Tino (Kalmaegi) moves closer. Heavy rain and strong winds are expected Monday night through Tuesday.
Please take this seriously, and start getting ready today.
Here’s what you can do right now:
• Move animals early! Bring goats, dogs, cats, chickens — everyone — to higher, dry, safe places.
• Untie / unleash pets or livestock from trees or fences near flood zones. It’s better they run to safety than drown tied up.
• Keep animals dry — even simple roofed shelters, boxes, or covered corners help.
• Store feed and water in sealed containers.
• Evacuate early if you live near rivers, the sea, or hillsides. Bring your animals with you — even small ones.
No one — and no animal — left behind.
