Looking for Veterinary Assistant / Groomer

Duties
• Assist clients and patients
• Weigh animals
• Comfort and restrain pets during examinations and care
• Soothe upset or frightened animals
• Assist Veterinarian and Veterinary technicians in laboratory works
• Observe animal behavior or health condition and report to the Vet
• Provide first aid to pets in an emergency, stabilizing them until a doctor can take over.
• Administer medications to pets in supervision of Veterinarian
• Clean, sterilize, and maintain clinic, operating rooms, examining rooms, cages, and surgical equipment
• Bathe and groom animals
• Perform some clerical duties

Requirements

• Male, single
• High school diploma / a certificate from a Veterinary Assistant program is a plus
• Atleast 1 year experience in pet grooming
• 18-26 years old
• Must have pleasing personality and good attitude
• Must be physically fit to be able to lift heavy objects and animals
• Must be comfortable working with animals
• Must be respectful
• Current or former pet ownership is an advantage
• Comfortable being around animals
• Patient and caring personality
• Availability to occasionally work in emergencies
