The red wagtail platy is a pleasant and peaceful freshwater fish that's both hardy and active. It's also small, pretty, and a great fish for hobbyists of any level; in fact, it's one of the most popular in the fishkeeping industry. You can find platies in several different colors which make for an eye-catching tank. The platy has two goals in life: eating and breeding. They will circle the tank eating anything, including algae, and their breeding can't be stopped. Like guppies, platies are livebearing fish.

Strawberry Peacock Cichlid

Aulonocara, or the Peacock Cichlid, is a rock dwelling cichlid from Lake Malawi. There are many different varieties of aulonocara. The strawberry peacock cichlid is absolutely stunning. These fish are a bright reddish-pink and some even have some interesting dots that cover their fins. Malawi cichlids thrive with a sandy substrate and plenty of holed rock caves to dart in and out of. Malawi cichlids are aggressive and territorial by nature, especially towards non-species fish, and often eachother. A species-only tank, with a catfish or pleco as tankmate, is the most common combo to keep in home aquaria. Avoid plants, as they will not thrive in ideal conditons for peacocks, and will often be moved around and damaged as they establish territory.

The green terror (Andinoacara rivulatus, syn. Aequidens rivulatus) is a colorful freshwater fish in the cichlid family. The fish originates from the Pacific side of South America from the Tumbes River in Peru to the Esmeraldas River in Ecuador. It is polymorphic and can have white or gold-orange edging to the tail and dorsal fins. It has historically been confused with two other species that always have narrow, clearly defined white edging, the more southerly distributed A. stalsbergi (often considered the "true" green terror) and the more northerly A. blombergi.

Also known as Bulgarian Green Angelfish, this new variant has a light green body and black fins. This is a very beautiful high contrasting fish.

Freshwater Angelfish are overwhelmingly popular in the aquarium hobby, and its easy to see why. With their assorted color patterns and beautiful flowing fins, these fish truly live up to their name.

Angelfish are generally peaceful, although they can become territorial if there is inadequate space for them to live happily. A breeding couple may also become particularly nippy when protecting eggs or young. Be sure your tank is large enough to allow each fish to have their own space, and also be sure the tank is tall enough to allow the fish space for their longer finnage. The recommended tank size of 30 gallons is for a single fish or pair; increase the tank size for a community tank including angelfish. Beware of fin-nipping tankmates such as barbs. Angel fins are very tempting to these fish!

A planted tank is a great home for angelfish, plus other decor, such as driftwood and rockwork, makes great hide-out areas for your fish. Water quality is also important for your angels, so keep an eye on your ammonia and nitrite levels, and be sure to perform water changes regularly.

Angels aren't too fussy when it comes to diet. Feed them a variety such as flake or small pellets/granules once a day, changing it up with a meaty frozen food such as brine shrimp or bloodworms as their second feeding. When cared for properly, angelfish are a very friendly and rewarding species to keep!

This prolific livebearer is found in freshwater, brackish, and saltwater habitats ranging from the Southern United States to Columbia. They have a more streamlined body compared to platies and can reach up to 4-5 inches (10-13 cm) in length. They are surprisingly good at cleaning aquariums, constantly scavenging for leftovers and pulling off hair algae with their flat mouths.
