1. Dry Immediately – Use a clean towel to prevent chills and skin issues.
2. Keep Warm – Move them to a dry, cozy space away from drafts.
3. Check for Wounds – Wet fur can hide cuts or irritations.
4. Clean Paws – Rinse mud/debris to avoid infection or paw pad injury.
5. Avoid Cold Baths – Don’t bathe unless needed; use warm water only.
6. Watch for Illness – Coughing, sneezing, or lethargy? Visit your vet.
7. Update Vaccines – Make sure protection from leptospirosis and other diseases is up to date.

🚨 Pe**le amputation case 🚨

🔍 Reminder: This is a veterinary case – not a human medical issue!🤣

Max, a 1-year-old intact male American Bully, was brought to Petorria Animal Clinic with acute paraphimosis and severe pe**le inflammation that had already progressed to necrosis and tissue degradation. 🐶

Bloodwork showed leukocytosis with lymphocytosis, anemia, hypoalbuminemia, and elevated amylase — clear signs of systemic involvement. With this life-threatening condition, the Petorria Veterinary team recommended immediate surgery, and the owner agreed.

Max underwent pe**le amputation to remove the necrotic tissue, followed by a scrotal urethrostomy to create a new urinary outlet, and castration to help prevent hormone-related complications.

This case highlights how early veterinary intervention can save lives in severe reproductive emergencies.
