A case of Rabies this 2025😞

This is heart breaking because rabies is preventable, especially for dogs or cats under the care of a family.

We want to share this as a reminder that we have to be responsible to have our pets VACCINATED YEARLY, whether or not they have access outside.

A single rabies vaccination shot a year can spare your pet and your family from this deadly disease.

Why check via ultrasonography?🤔

1.) Initially, to check for fetal balls which indicate that breeding was successful.

2.) Follow up scan with ultrasonography checks for fetal movement and viability.

3.) Ultrasonography can estimate the number of pups or kittens. It can be done with radiography for better head count estimate.

4.) To assess the possible time of labor or the need for caesarean procedure, as per changes in fetal heart rate.

5.) Ultrasonography is straightforward and provides real-time assessment, giving owners an immediate peace of mind.

This case was corrected by globe replacement and temporary partial tarsorraphy.

In some cases, enucleation or removal of the eye ball is needed😔

Cases of proptosis is an emergency case. Immediate action may save the eye affected, and save your pet from a really painful situation.

Good news for this dog!! the affected eye is still functional 7 days after 🐶

Heartworms are silent killer. As they increase in number, symptoms may eventually show😨

Some pets when presented in the clinic, have irreversible damage of the heart already❤️‍🩹🥺

It can be transmitted through the bite of infected mosquito, and eventually as they mature it travels to the heart causing disturbance😞

Common noticeable symptoms are coughing, labored breathing and exercise intolerance.
