We grew up being surrounded by cats in our house, and then my Dad gave us a dog. our first dog named Lilo, she was manly. black, fat, small, and intelligent furbaby. she knew how to get our attention. she played “pilay” whenever she wants something, and she’ll push us out of when she’s not having her space in the bed. she lived with us for more than a decade. she’s an Aspin, btw, but that didn’t stop us from loving her.
And that’s when our fur-world started. Dad gave us another 2 dogs, another Aspins, our oldest dog, named Pochie, lived with us for 15years. she was like a “nanay” to every dog that we had. her owned baby, Chipmonks that stayed with us for 13years, would literally grab her food inside her mouth and she wouldn’t even react. she was quiet and loves being pet. we’re glad that she passed away peacefully cos unlike her, Lilo died tragically.
Chipmunks, our baby halimaw sa bahay was a very sweet and energetic baby until he got sick and got confine to a well-known Veterinry Clinic in Cabanatuan City, when we got him back he’s aggressive, afraid, and anxious. he would bite us whenever he felt unsafe. we don’t know what happened but sadly we left him in chain in the morning and would let him lose when it’s time to sleep in our room, because he was aggressive. he was deeply loved by my mother. until he took his last breath.
By having these Aspins in our family, it made us not just a dog lover but an Animal Lover. they changed everyone of us especially my Mom, she hates dogs and cats before, but now, she adopted 36 dogs that lives with us. 34 of them are Aspin. We took them out of the streets, we even brought one home from Bataan.
(here’s some of our spoiled furbabies :Jammy, Ranty, Hachi, Jacy)
Here’s my brother’s first owned Baby, Hachi. He’s a very intelligent dog. Knows basic obedience and he’s well trained even without his leash. We would take him every time we leave for a vacation. He tragically died because he got hit and run. My brother tried to save him by resuscitating him and taking him to the vet but sadly, he passed away in deep pain. But my brother felt another pain as he was left by his beloved furbaby. (please please drive safely. it may not have an effect for us but to the owner of the furbaby, means a lot. hindi lang naman kasi namin tinatrato na a*o or hayop, but a part of our family. and we know na lahat ng fur lovers would understand us)
he’s Patchi, one of our adopted furbaby. he’s a size of a rat when he first came to us. we think that he’s afraid of the water, mainly becuase mayro’n siyang banli ng mainit na tubig sa likod nung baby pa siya. he got confined as well (not to the same Vet we took Chipmonks cos we knew better) cos of ticks and fleas.
More than 30 cats lives in our house aswell, that my mom adopted. she would leave food in front of our house and they decided to permanently live with us. They are “Pusang Pinoys” we even adopted 3 cats that used to live inside the shop. But we decided to take them home.
I shared these stories because I want to brag our furbabies, tho I wasn’t able to share them one by one, but they made our life more colorful.
They could take away the stress of the day.
They’re the most loyal.
They love us more than anything.
We don’t basically deserve them but here we are. HAHA!
Louie Goshen Happy Paws Pet Supplies and Veterinary Clinic was put up not just because of the money. but because we, too, find pet supplies very expensive. we weren’t able to give dog food to our pets before because we weren’t knowledgeable enough to raise one.
we find confinement very, very very as in very, expensive as well.
when Chipmunks got confined we don’t have extra money for that kind of expenses but my mom cried and would want to save him kaya pikit mata kaming nagbayad kahit walang wala kaming pera. and when Patchi got confined it costs us Php 2,500 for an overnight stay. nakakaloka.
We started this business ‘cos we want to help other furparents to affordably give their pets’ needs, and break the stereotype of pag sinabing “Dalhin sa Vet” it would cost you thousands of pesos for a minor rea*on. we would want to make our confinement affordable cos we know how expensive it is for others.
We’re serving our clients the way we want to be served. We meticulously picked our groomers and Veterinarians ‘cos we want them na Animal Lover din, and we’re constantly looking if we think they’re handling the furbabies wrong or pag hindi namin gusto. We would ask our Vet for confirmation and para maintindihan din namin, and to our Groomers as well. we don’t want the pets get traumatized the way our Chipmunks did when we took him to the Vet Clinic.
We’re happy and glad that we’re satisfying our customers and clients, and we deeply apologize for those we didn’t satisfy. please do talk to us if you have objections and questions and remember: “communication is a two-way process.”
and everythig, IT’S ALL FROM THE LORD. All the Glory and Worship are for Him.
