Sugar gliders are palm-size marsupials that can glide using their special membrane called patagium ~ thin skin stretched between the fifth forefinger and the back ankle.

They are closely related to other marsupials like kangaroos, characterized by premature birth and continued development of the newborn while attached to the ni***es on the mother's lower belly.

They are nocturnal ~ they can see well in the dark & therefore, active at night.
