Sam-Sam, a senior dog, was brought to our clinic exhibiting nasal discharge and bleeding. Physical examination revealed severely dry, cracked, and wounded nose pad, indicative of significant nasal discomfort.💉🩸

Tests confirmed a positive diagnosis of Canine Influenza Virus (CIV). Bloodwork also suggested a possible blood parasite infection, due to observed anemia. 🐶

Prescription medication was administered, and the owner received detailed instructions on proper administration, along with explanations of the cause, prevention, and treatment of CIV and the potential blood parasite issue.

Lucky was brought in for a check-up due to inappetence, cough, and lethargy. Examination revealed severe eye and nasal discharge, jaw spasms, and a dry, cracked nose pad.

Laboratory tests confirmed he has Canine Distemper and Canine Ehrlichiosis, both of which can cause weakness and lethargy. To prevent Distemper, ensure your dog receives annual multivalent vaccines. Ehrlichiosis can be avoided with monthly tick and flea preventives.🩸🐶
