๐ชจ๐ฑ Did You Know? Cats Can Get Bladder Stones Too!
Your cat might seem healthy one day and suddenly struggle to p*e the next. One possible reason?
Urolithiasis โ a condition where stones form in your catโs urinary tract, including the bladder and urethra.
These stones (like tiny rocks or crystals) form when certain minerals in the urine clump together. Over time, they can grow big enough to block your catโs ability to urinate โ especially in male cats, who have a narrower pathway for urine.
โ๏ธThis is a medical emergency. If your cat is straining in the litter box, crying in pain, or not urinating at all, it could be a life-threatening blockage. Left untreated, it can lead to kidney failure or even death in just a few days.
๐ก Signs to Watch Out For:
โ
Frequent trips to the litter box
โ
Straining or crying while p*eing
โ
Blood in the urine
โ
Peeing outside the litter box
โ
Lethargy or vomiting (in later stages)
๐ If you notice these signs, donโt wait โ bring your cat to the vet right away. Early treatment saves lives!
