In every wingbeat, pawprint, ripple, and root lies a story of balance that keeps our world alive. On this International Day for Biological Diversity we are reminded that biodiversity is not just about the variety of life, it is the foundation of ecosystems, food security, animal health and the future we all share. As veterinary students and ambassadors for animal welfare and environmental stewardship, we know that to protect biodiversity, we must protect life in all of its interconnected forms.

The International Veterinary Students’ Association- ASU is proud to take part in this globally renowned celebration, acknowledging the beauty and importance of all the species that constitute our planet. Day 2 of IVSA 8th Philippine Conference 2026 showcased the significance of shared leadership and active engagement in IVSA. The General Assembly conducted the National Term Elections highlighting progressive leadership and steadfast governance. It also denoted the presention of Local Chapter Activity Reports that signified the activities, advancements and service of each chapter during the past year.

It was also a significant day with the formal induction of new Local Chapters— Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU), Tarlac Argicultural University, and Visayas State University into the IVSA network, marking the on-going development and expanded partnership amongst veterinary students and academes. All of these activities highlighted the shared dedication to continuity, engagement and continued improvement of the organization.
