SHARED SPACES ONLY WORK WHEN WE ALL RESPECT BOUNDARIES ✔️

In recent viral online photos, two pet owners brought their dog into a mall comfort room, specifically to use the baby diaper changing amenity—a space meant for infant care and hygiene. Just as concerning, in photos that circulated years back, and for sure is still happening at present, parents have allowed their children to play in a mall pet park, turning it into a kid’s playground.

These spaces were created with specific purposes: changing rooms for babies’ health and cleanliness, and pet parks for animals to safely run, play, and socialize. When we misuse them, we put others at risk—whether it’s infants exposed to pet dander or pets overwhelmed by unfamiliar play from children.

Pet owners, please avoid bringing animals into human-only zones. Parents, kindly refrain from treating pet spaces as playgrounds. Every family—whether raising children or fur babies—deserves safety, dignity, and space to thrive.

RESPECT IS HOW WE BUILD A TRULY COMPASSIONATE AND INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY. ❤️

TRIGGER WARNING: MENTION OF RABIES

A nine-year-old boy died from rabies after getting bitten by a stray dog in Malapatan, Sarangani, the Sarangani Provincial Health Office confirmed.

The boy reportedly began showing symptoms of rabies and was taken by his parents to the Alabel Rural Health Unit on Monday, June 9.

Authorities attempted to locate the dog involved but later discovered it had already been slaughtered and eaten by around 30 residents, who reportedly noticed it becoming weak.
