ESM SEASON 2 FINISHERS

3 birds made it to the finals and all came back with one finishing at 28th place final lap Claveria 425kms hard race. One of them also clocked 5th at the 3rd lap (Candon) winning a trophy and a prize. We have less luck this year than last year but all good. The birds fought to the very end.

All birds now back in the loft. They are in a very good condition. Thanks to Sir Eric Manago of ESM For taking good care of these birds.

Congratulations also to all winners. It was a fun exciting event. Kudos to the ESM Team for another successful year.

Breeding now to join the 3rd season.

FINISHERS AT PAMOK FCI OLR 2023

We have 3 Finshers out of 6 birds we entered in this Thailand race. 50% clocking rate with one bird being the 2nd Philippine day bird in the 480km hard final race.

Of these, 2 are half siblings from a hen we got from Sir J*p Van Zoone mated to Pattaya 2022 race finishers we won at auction. This proven hen from Sir J*p is the mother of our ESM Season 1 final lap winner last year.

The 3rd bird came from a Pattaya a finisher mated to a local winner bird.

PAMOK THAILAND OLR FINAL RACE 480kms RESULTS

One of ours is No 286th out of 2247 birds basketed. 2nd of 5 Philippine birds that clocked today. As of this evening, clocking stopped at 458 birds. It was a hard race.

This bird is half sibling (mother side) to our ESM OLR Final Lap Winner last year. It was sired this time by a Pattaya 2022 Finisher from SG Steffl of Germany that we won at Pattaya auction paired to a local hen from Sir J*p Van Zoone (thank you ulet!)

Pamok lang po ang natirang laban ko sa International OLRs this season with 6 birds and 5 made it to the finals. Kinancel ko yung ibang entries dahil sa gulo last year. Breeding now to join fresh for the next season.

Congrats po kay Sir Mike Alcantara (first PH bird) and the rest na nakapagpauwi din today!

BREEDING AGAIN FOR INTERNATIONAL OLRs?

Sadly, I have already cancelled most of my international OLR stints this year (I sent quite a number of birds to 4 international races) except for one (which I might cancel too). It was a total waste of money (birds, shipping & entry fees) and time but I don’t want to join any of these races if I am starting on the wrong footing. Umpisa pa lang, malas na agad.

The reason?

It was a total disappointment to see local brokers fight for the business to broker international OLRs to the detriment of local fanciers like us. What’s more concerning is that some brokers are being charged of fraud and malversation of funds received for OLRs fees. Naglipat lipat ng brokers, naglipat lipat ng sasalihan, nagmahal ang mga bayarin bigla, may hindi pa mabigay na mga shipping fees at entry fees kahit hindi naman kasalanan ng fanciers ang mga nangyayari.

Nakakawalang gana… nakakatabang na sumali… naging tanga ka pa dahil nagtiwala ka…

Paano ka naman gaganahan pag ganyan? Nasaan ang hustisya?

2 VICTORIA FALLS FINAL ENDURO RACE WINNERS COMING SOON TO SONIC LOFT

Late post of the 2 birds we won at P**A auction last February. They are amongst the day birds in the Enduro 502 kms Final race of Victoria Falls.

A special event at the Victoria Falls One Loft Race is the Enduro Ace competition, which takes place from October to December. These pigeons undergo a well-balanced training program with a training toss every 4 days. These training flights lead up to three races which count for the Enduro Ace Series across 318km, 435 km and 502km. The 728 pigeons basketed for the Final race across 502km, were released at 05:30AM with a strong headwind. Due to overcast, the temperature was not too high - in several places there was even some light rain. The first two pigeons arrived after 9 hours, achieving an average speed of 926 m/min, taking an impressive 36-minute lead! It was a memorable race, in which the pigeons arrived regularly after one another. 50 pigeons arrived on day 1 and when the race was closed, 239 pigeons had reached the lofts.

The birds are now in the US awaiting final clearance for eventual shipping to the Philippines.

TRIPLE ROMARIO & GANUS LINES FOR THIS 128TH PLACER FINAL LAP PATTAYA

Here is another potential hen we got at Pattaya auction. She is a triple in**ed Romario line on the father side. Her father is the grandson of Lena - 1st Golden Algarve final 2019) and while her mother is a granddaughter of Doc Holiday - 1st Golden Algarve 2017 and Said in Spun Silver - 2nd prize final South Africa Million dollar race (both breeders of Mike Ganus).

She finished 128th at the Final 530kms in Pattaya. Bred and raced by Kaidi Family Loft from Morocco. Excited to see her on our loft soon.

DOUBLE IN**ED ROMARIO FROM SIMON WOLF'S ALP RACE TEAM

Another target bloodline we won this year at Pattaya auction. This is a hen that is highly in**ed to one of the best OLR bloodline in the world today - Romario. Among well known Romario line champions are Thomas 6, Marple and Lena (winners in Algarve and Victoria Falls) amongst many others.
