It is extremely sad and challenging... The founder of CASA Project PH has neither responded nor replied, for more than a year now and we haven’t heard any news from her. Volunteer Ms Iren LB has been the only one shouldering all the expenses for the rescue dogs, she simply cannot abandon or neglect them—she genuinely cares about each one. Even though she is already struggling as an elderly person, she alone has been covering everything: veterinary fees, purchasing medicines, vaccination, vitamins, Nextgard for their skin, special or recovery wet food for the sick ones, squash, charcoals, fares, and cleaning supplies like Zonrox, powder soap, and shampoo that are constantly needed.

Additionally, she is personally taking care in her own home 10 rescued dogs + 4 puppies recovered now from mange, not to mention the other CASA dogs now under the care of I. Llanto, where Ms. Iren LB is also covering the expenses. Though her son just died after a months of taking care of him, yet she didnt neglected all the needs of our rescue dogs.

Pls help us by adopting, as we are open for adoption for some of our rescue dogs and puppies. Its one way of helping our rescue dogs to find their forever home..

We just have repaired the rescue dogs place—with mesh wire, roofing, mats, wall coverings, and curtains to keep them dry during the rain and cool when the weather is really hot.

It has become unsustainable for just one senior volunteer to cover all these expenses, as her pension is the only source of funding for the rescue dogs’ needs. We truly feel for her selfless dedication and the heavy burden she carries.

Even a small donation would go a long way if someone could help…

We hope that kind-hearted people will help meet the needs of our rescue dogs—we would be deeply grateful for any support.

We are also very thankful for the help of Ma’am Malou Perez, who provides rice and meat for our rescue dogs. Thank you very much, Ma’am Malou and Sir Phillip. Bless you!

If anyone can donate in kind, please PM here or thru our;

Malou Perez

Don't forget to follow Worldwide Vets to keep up to date with the award!

Nominator's quote: "I’m thrilled to nominate Malou Perez for the Golden Star Award, celebrating her incredible dedication to animal welfare through the Pawssion Project! Since its inception in October 2018, Malou has made a monumental impact on the lives of countless abused and neglected animals, while also inspiring kindness and compassion in her community.

Malou's journey began when she learned about 50 dogs facing euthanasia. Determined to make a difference, she founded the Pawssion Project, which has since rescued over 2,000 animals and rehomed more than 1,000, with around 700 currently thriving in two shelters. Her unwavering commitment to rescue and rehabilitation has truly given these animals a second chance at life.

What’s even more inspiring is how Malou uses social media to spread awareness about stray animals and get the community involved in animal welfare initiatives. She promotes responsible pet ownership and encourages everyone to participate in rescue efforts, creating a vibrant network of support that amplifies hermission.

Pawssion Project also features innovative initiatives like stray feeding programs and relief drives, showing that Malou understands the importance of addressing the needs of both animals and
their caretakers. Her proactive spay and neuter programs tackle the overpopulation crisis, proving that she’s not just about rescue—she’s about creating lasting change.

Malou’s passion shines through in her daily efforts, often putting her personal time aside for the sake of animals in need. Her belief that “everyone can save a life” is not justa catchy phrase; it’s a call to action that she embodies every day. Her sense of purpose and relentless spirit keep her pushing forward, even when the challenges seem daunting.

In conclusion, Malou Perez is atrue beacon of hope and compassion, making her a perfect fit for the
Golden Star Award. Her work not only saves lives but also inspires others to take action and show kindness to all living beings. I wholeheartedly believe that recognizing Malou will not only honor her
efforts but also encourage more people to join her mission.

Thank you for considering Malou Perez for the Golden Star Award!"

A word from Malou: "My journey in animal welfare began with a profound encounter that ignited my deep empathy for neglected and abused animals. Upon witnessing the dire conditions of stray animals in my own hometown of Bacolod City, I had to take decisive action. In 2018, I established Pawssion Project Foundation Inc (https://pawssionproject.org.ph/), an organization dedicated to addressing the urgent issue of stray animal overpopulation and the lack of proper care and support
they receive in the Philippines. It all started when I came across a distressing social media post highlighting the impending ex*****on of 50 dogs at my local pound. Nearly five years later, the
organization has made significant strides, including the construction of two shelters housing over 700 rescues.

Pawssion Project has grown into a highly influential and impactful organization in the Philippines.
The project focuses on rescuing stray animals from the streets, nursing them back to health, and finding loving homes for them. The organization also prioritizes spaying and neutering programs to control the stray animal population effectively. With a strong network of volunteers, animal lovers, and partnerships with local veterinary clinics, Pawssion Project has made a significant difference in the lives of countless animals.Being nominated for the Golden Star Award is not just for me. I share this nomination with the rest of my team and everyone who continues to fight for Animal Welfare in the Philippines. This is an opportunity for me to spread awareness and to expand the reach and impact of Pawssion Project, establishing partnerships and collaborations to create a lasting change for animals across the country and beyond. "

Voting closes on the 14th of November- be sure to vote for your animal hero before then!

💔 A Message from CASA Project PH: Our Journey, Our Struggle, and Our Plea for Compassion 💔

To everyone following our journey at CASA Project PH, we want to begin by expressing our deep gratitude to those who have supported us and refrained from quick judgments or gossip regarding the struggles of our shelter. We understand why some may be alarmed about the condition of our rescues; it breaks our hearts too. But before anyone rushes to judgment, please allow us to share the full picture, as every one of our volunteers has given everything to keep the shelter afloat.

But as volunteers, we’ve now reached our capacity—emotionally, physically, and financially.

Here are some of the challenges we faced:

• Water & Electricity Cut-Offs: The shelter’s electricity was cut off due to unpaid bills. Additionally, our water supply was interrupted for nearly two months because of a problem on the property, leaving the dogs unable to be bathed. Without proper hygiene, many dogs developed ticks and skin issues, and there was only so much we could do in these conditions.

• Caretaker Constraints: Our current caretaker—paid minimally due to funding limits—was not fully able to meet the shelter’s needs, impacting the dogs’ health. Although we recognized the need for better care, we simply didn’t have the budget to hire someone new.

• The Unwavering Dedication of Our Volunteers: Each volunteer at CASA has poured their hearts and time, keeping the shelter going. Ms. Irene LB, a dedicated volunteer, has been using her own pension to cover what she could, as the only one finances all the needs of the shelter, while focusing on her son, who has been battling a severe illness for months now. Another compassionate soul, Ms. Irene Llanto, is currently fostering 20 of our rescues, providing them with a temporary safe space, we are extremely grateful to her for stepping up to help during this transition while we are waiting for Ma'am Malou Perez to officially take them in, after their rehab.

Through it all, we were blessed to receive food support from Balay Pawssion. especially Ms. Malou, we offer our deepest gratitude for your generous help—your support truly made a difference. As we continue our efforts to wait for her permanent, loving shelter for these dogs.

CASA will be closing its current location. If you would like to support in caring for our rescues during this transition, donations can be made via our official GCash # 09633411717

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” — Matthew 7:1-2

Thank you to all who stood by us and chose compassion over judgment. God knows we exhausted all our efforts to make this possible.

We remain hopeful, knowing that there are still people who care deeply for these animals. ❤️
