Ms. gentle giant Maggie is back again, but this time she bravely underwent surgery for open pyometra with Doc Eddie. 🤍🐾

⚕️Pyometra is a dangerous uterine infection that can affect both dogs and cats. Open pyometra may cause pus or bloody discharge, loss of appetite, weakness, vomiting, fever, excessive drinking, and swollen abdomen. Without immediate treatment, it can become life-threatening.

✔️The best prevention for pyometra is early spaying and regular veterinary checkups. 🩺🏥

Hiro 🐾💙, a 6-year-old brave boy, successfully underwent a cystotomy—a surgery where the bladder is opened to remove stones or blockages.

Urinary (bladder) stones are hard mineral formations in the bladder of cats and dogs that can block urine flow and cause pain.

These can be caused by mineral buildup, low water intake, poor diet, or infections. Signs to watch: difficulty urinating, frequent attempts, blood in urine, pain, or loss of appetite.

✔️Prevention: keep fresh water available, provide a proper diet, and have regular vet check-ups.

Our brave girl patient, Ella, recently had to undergo a cystotomy surgery to remove a painful bladder stone (swipe to see the X-ray! 📷). It was a scary time, but we are beyond thankful to God that she is now safely in her recovery stage.
We’re so glad to have this sweet girl getting back to herself. Please send Ella some love and 'good girl' pets in the comments! ❤️🙏
