👀 Real Ear Mites Under the Microscope!
Ever wondered what causes that scratching, head shaking or dark ear discharge in cats? 🐈🐈‍⬛

Ear mites in cats are a common parasite problem. Here’s what you should know:

🔎 What They Are

Microscopic parasites

Live in the ear canal and feed on wax, oils, and skin debris.

Spread easily from one pet to another (cats, dogs, even ferrets).

🐾 Signs & Symptoms

Intense scratching of the ears or shaking of the head

Dark brown/black crumbly discharge that looks like coffee grounds

Redness, irritation, or swelling in the ear

Foul odor from the ears

Scabs or hair loss around the ears and head (from scratching)

✅ Prevention

Regular check-ups and ear cleaning when needed.

Using monthly parasite preventatives recommended by your vet.

Keeping your cat away from untreated strays or infected pets.
