Hinimok ng aktres na si Carla Abellana ang publiko na kumilos at direktang tumulong sa mga “animals in need,” sa halip na iasa lamang ang pagtulong sa iba.

Sa Facebook video noong Huwebes, Agosto 28, emosyonal na ibinahagi ng aktres ang kanyang karanasan sa isang asong nabiktima ng hit-and-run, na kanyang dinala sa isang bakanteng lote at binigyan ng maayos na libing.

"It's the least that I can do. At least give him the proper burial he deserves," saad ni Carla.

"I try my best and I hope more of you try your best to rescue, save, feed, adopt even," dagdag pa ng aktres.

Nanawagan din siya sa publiko na magkusang kumilos para sa mga stray animals, "Try your best to actually do something about it. Hindi ‘yung picture lang, video lang."

They tremble under makeshift shelters, cardboard, scraps of plastic, or nothing at all, soaked and shivering as floods rise around them.
While we rush indoors to warmth and safety, they remain outside, unseen and unheard, fighting for their lives against the cold and the currents.

They did nothing to deserve this life on the streets. And yet, during disasters, they pay the highest price.
Giving them even a small corner, a dry spot on the porch, a space in your garage, might be the only kindness they’ll ever know.

This rainy season, open your heart and your home, even if only for a while.
For them, that shelter isn’t just comfort. It’s survival.

Every day, many strays are run over and left to die.

They die without ever knowing what it’s like to have a home. No warm bed. No family. No love.

They die because someone didn’t slow down.
Didn’t care to look. Didn’t think their life mattered.

Please, slow down. Look around.
Give them a chance to live.

If anyone deserves compassion,
it’s the animals who’ve had to fight just to stay alive.

Drive with compassion. Drive responsibly.

In our world, we bury the dead.
We light candles. We say words. We try to make peace.

But in the wild?
There are no eulogies. No soft goodbyes.
Only instinct, silence, and things left unspoken.

Yet somehow… this little bird stayed.
Pressed against the body of one it likely loved.
Not for food. Not for safety.
But for something harder to name.

We like to think emotions are ours.
That pain belongs to poets, and mourning is a human luxury.
But nature tells another story.

Here, on the hard ground, no one’s watching.
No camera crew. No crowd.
And still — it mourns.

Maybe not with tears.
Maybe not with understanding.
But with presence.

Because even in the wild, the heart knows what it lost.
And sometimes, even the smallest creatures
carry the heaviest feelings.
