Smokey, a beloved family cat, nearly died after receiving a counterfeit Frontline product contaminated with pirimiphos-methyl, a highly toxic insecticide for cats. He required emergency intestinal surgery and hospitalization after exposure to this fake product.

These fakes mimic real brands, but may include toxic chemicals and no actual flea protection.
