Meet Doc Loy — the Farm Boy Turned Fur-tastic Vet!
Doc Loy’s story began in the lush farmlands of Alaminos City, Pangasinan, where his childhood looked like something out of a countryside adventure book. While most kids played with toys, little Loy was busy chasing cows, goats, and chickens his dad raised. He had a soft spot for every creature, big or small. Found an abandoned chick? He’d nurse it back to health. A mama goat refusing to feed her kid? Out came the bottle! A kitten by the roadside? Instant adoption.
It didn’t take long before he proudly declared, “One day, I’ll be an animal doctor!”
Fast forward a few years (okay, maybe more than a few)...
Doc Loy earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Husbandry at Central Luzon State University in the Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, and followed it up with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the same university. Not long after graduation, he passed the Veterinary Licensure Examination. Boom — official vet status unlocked!
The Vetventures Begin!
Doc Loy kicked off his career in Bangkok, Thailand, working as a veterinary nurse at Charoensuk Animal Hospital. There, he got hands-on (and paws-on) experience in critical care and small animal medicine (that’s fancy talk for treating dogs and cats like royalty).
When he came back to the Philippines, he hit the ground running, joining top-notch clinics in Baguio, Laguna, Ilocos, and Metro Manila, learning from the best and gaining skills sharper than a kitten’s claws.
Since 2022, he’s teamed up with his fellow vet and close friend Doc Gab - Veterinarian , offering affordable home vet services and low-cost spay and neuter programs across Metro Manila, Rizal, Laguna, Cavite, Quezon, Bulacan, Tarlac, and Pampanga — because every pet deserves expert care without breaking the bank!
Now for the best part...
Doc Loy is bringing all that experience back home to where it all began. That’s right — Doc Loy Veterinary Clinic will open soon in Alaminos City! Whether it barks, meows, chirps, or squeaks, your beloved pets are in expert, caring hands.
