🐾 Double Trouble… or Double Cuteness? 🐾

These two gorgeous black cats, Angus & Cole came in for their vaccine boosters and arthritis injections, and totally stole our hearts in the process! 🖤🐱🐱

With their sleek coats and sweet personalities, they were the purrfect patients.

Keeping up with regular vet visits like this helps keep our senior pets happy, healthy, and comfortable as they age.

Intensive medical and post-op recovery patients are cared for by our dedicated team of qualified nurses. Infectious patients receive special care in an isolation unit.

🎓🐾 Puppy Kindy Update! 🐾🎓
Our next class starting 2nd August is now FULL — these pups are keen to learn and party! 🐶🎉

So we’re opening a second class to make room for more waggy tails and new besties!
Puppy Kindy isn’t just fun (though there’s plenty of that) — it’s a great way to help your pup grow into a confident, well-mannered dog through safe socialisation and gentle learning. 💛

Say hello to Louie - The tough little Schnauzer with a big heart and a whole lot of determination! 🐶✨

Earlier this year, Louie had a pretty scary moment when he was diagnosed with FCE Myelopathy. Basically, a little piece of disc material blocked blood flow to his spinal cord, causing sudden weakness in his back legs. It sounds intense (and it is!), but Louie’s been smashing his rehab and laser therapy sessions with Chani, and making pawsome progress! 🦴💪

From strength-building exercises to targeted laser treatments to help reduce inflammation and support healing, Louie’s given it his all. (Especially if there’s a Yogi pot involved, we’ve never seen motivation like it! 😄)

Just as he was finding his groove again… plot twist! Louie came back in with bladder stones. These pesky little things had to be removed with a surgery called a cystotomy, where we open the bladder to scoop the stones out and help him feel much more comfy. He will now be on a certain diet to avoid them coming back.

Through it all, Louie has been a total legend, waggy-tailed, brave, and always up for a snack or two 🍖 We’re proud of this little dude and all the love and effort his humans have put in.

🧡👋 𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗠 🩺🐾
𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝗧𝗲𝗼 𝗜 𝗕𝗩𝗦𝗰 (𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁) 𝗜 𝗩𝗲𝘁

Caris emigrated from Malaysia in 2002 and attended high school in Auckland before heading to Massey University. She graduated in 2011 with distinction and worked in a small animal practice for 2 1/2 years before joining us at Mill Road in 2014.

Caris is a dedicated vet, with a special interest in the field of small animal medicine. She is committed to continuing education, having studied courses in emergency medicine and thoracic emergencies.

When not hard at work helping our pets and their owners, she can be found pounding the hills training for long distance running races, swimming & exploring our beautiful beaches, tramping, reading, playing the piano, climbing or even trying her hand at surfing!

Say hello to Loki, a nearly 4-year-old Irish Setter who visited us this week for his health check and vaccinations 💉🐶 With that gorgeous red coat and gentle nature, he definitely brought some extra sparkle to our day!

He was such a good boy and soaked up all the attention from the team, we couldn’t resist sharing his floofy face with you all! 💚
