Mitchell and Shaye Ellis, 29 March 2025

When Shaye’s Mum Denise contacted me asking if I was interested in officiating Mitchell and Shaye’s wedding ceremony I was delighted. Denise used to look after my brother and I when we were in primary school so I remember Shaye as a toddler. To officiate her wedding was an honour!

Mitchell and Shaye were so easy to get along with and they made the planning process a joy.

Their wedding was held at the beautiful Liddington Gardens Wedding and Events Venue and the day was filled with beautiful family and friends, special memories and lots of love and laughter.

Thomas and Stephanie Mills, 14 March 2024

I had the privilege of officiating Steph’s sister Katie and her husband Matt’s wedding in 2017 and met Tom & Steph then as they were both in the bridal party, so when Steph contacted me asking me to be their celebrant I was so excited!

It was so cool to see Matt and Katie again too and special to have them both in the bridal party.

Baylys Farm is a beautiful wedding venue and Tom & Steph’s day was just perfect. I loved the way they included Steph’s grandparents with their son and nephews as they all ran up the aisle ahead of the bridesmaids and Katie sprinkling petals. The joy was infectious!

Their beautiful son Elijah was their ring bearer and he also received his own special ring on the day, I loved the symbolism of this, the three of them joined as one family.

Thank you again for choosing me as your Celebrant, Tom and Steph. Wishing you both a wonderful life together full of many blessings.

Strachan and Kayla McLeod, 23 March 2024

Strachan and Kayla were so cruisy and fun to work with and their ceremony was beautiful and intimate.

I loved the way they included their precious dog Molly and had both their mothers witness their marriage license.

I’m connected to Strachan and Kayla through various friends and family members and their wedding was held at a friend’s venue so connections made this ceremony even more special and fun!

Dylan and Jessica Merritt, 24 February 2024

Not even the powerful wind could stand in the way of this beautiful couple and their picturesque wedding!

Dylan and Jess were very intentional about every aspect of their ceremony and it was so special working with them.

Jess walked down the aisle to “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)” being played and sung live by my good friend Alex, it was fun getting to work with one of our mates!

Of course my amazing husband Ben was working hard doing the often unseen things to make sure the ceremony went smoothly, the wind definitely kept him busy too!

It’s not often you get to say you’ve married the same couple twice!

Clay and Elizabeth eloped in a family member’s backyard in December 2022 with just their immediate family present and then they had a beautiful celebration ceremony in March with all their family and friends. It was a privilege to be able to officiate both ceremonies for them.

Each ceremony was unique, raw, beautiful and family centred. I especially loved the ring warming ceremony they chose to include in their March ceremony.

Te Puhi and Bethany Kemble-Nathan, 18 March 2023.

This was an extra special ceremony given it was my beautiful sister-in-laws special day!

My husband Ben and I officiated this ceremony together and we had so much fun. It was a beautiful day full of love, laughter and whanau.

I might be just a little biased but I’m pretty sure these are the cutest flower girls I’ve ever seen too!

We’re so glad you finally “did the thing” TP and Bethany and can’t wait to see all the adventures you will have together as husband and wife. Thank you for choosing me as your celebrant.

Aidan and Lisa Gibson, 16 January 2023.

I’ve known Lisa and her family since our preschool days living out at Poroti so when she asked me to be their wedding celebrant I was delighted to accept.

Their wedding day was a beautiful day with unique and personal elements at one of my favourite Northland venues.

I think my favourite moment was turning to the groom and saying “I think that helicopter is going to fly straight over us Aidan!” to which he turned around and saw his beautiful bride. I’m so glad we managed to keep that a surprise for the groom and the guests!
