A Stage 1 Dental at CoroVets includes:

🩸Pre-anaesthetic bloods to identify hidden health issues before surgery, ensuring patient safety

🩺 A comprehensive clinical examination prior to the procedure

😁 A full oral examination under a closely-monitored general anaesthetic

🔎 Thorough probing of every tooth to assess gum health and identify periodontal disease

🦷 Professional scale and polish to remove plaque and tartar

📸 Full-mouth dental X-rays to detect hidden problems

❤️ A personalised treatment plan if any additional dental work is needed

Did you know your pet’s microchip needs to be registered to help bring them home? 🐾

A microchip is only the first step. If your pet’s chip isn’t registered, or your contact details aren’t up to date, it can make it much harder to reunite you if they ever go missing.

The New Zealand Companion Animal Register (NZCAR) is New Zealand’s national companion animal microchip register. It links your pet’s microchip number with your contact details, helping vets, councils, shelters and other authorised users identify lost pets and reconnect them with their families.

Whether you have a new puppy or kitten, or your pet has been part of your family for years, it’s worth checking their details are correct.

✅ Check that your pet’s microchip is registered
✅ Make sure your contact details are correct
✅ Update your details if you move house or change your phone number
✅ If your pet changes ownership, make sure the microchip registration is transferred

🐾 Come down to CoroVets to have your pet’s microchip checked and make sure all your contact details are up to date! 🐶🐱

Because every pet deserves a way home. 💙
