Some of our 2022 F1 lambs who have been born the last week. Starting with triplets born 15.10.22. The boys will be looking for new homes either as pet bottle fed lambs or at weaning.

And the last little (big) boys went off to his new home on Sunday. He was the biggest, loudest and cuddliest lamb we had and we joined the nappy brigade so he could stay inside for cuddles. He went off to live just out of Putaruru and has the very appropriate name of Romeo.

And that's a wrap for lambing. First lambs, the triplets born 1.9.2021 and last lot of twins born 30.9.2021...right outs...

And that's a wrap for lambing. First lambs, the triplets born 1.9.2021 and last lot of twins born 30.9.2021...right outside our bedroom window. It was funny to watch all the other lambs race up to check out the new borns. And the other sheep showing an interest.

Well this is confusing.. I had to pop out and run a few quick errands and obviously these ewes didn't read the instruction manual on how to give birth. It clearly states that the ewe will separate from the rest of the flock. But no these 2 chose to give birth right next to each other. I came home to find they had both had 1 lamb and not wanting to interfere with the process though I'd let them sort it out. They had no idea either. Perhaps I did the wrong thing. One ewe was happy to take all of them and one was very fussy so Miss Fussy chose her 2 and Miss Maternal got the other 2. All are thriving now

The 2 boys we are bottle feeding are now starting to do the zoomies. They have been separated from their Mum, after they had colostrum from her, and they are now on yoghurtised Anlamb 4 times a day. They were on 6 times a day feeds to start with. The separation process has not been difficult as she was not interested in them at all and they do have each other. One of the boys has a home to go to and the other is still waiting for someone to love him...as much as we do.

I know this young lady will be pleased when her twin lambs are born. She had a lovely surprise for us 2 days after this ...
