Covid-19 alert level 2

We unexpectedly find ourselves at level 2 once again. This does mean we have needed to reinstate some restrictions. This is nothing new... we have done it before and we’ll do it again. Once again, thank you so much for your patience and understanding.

- please call us from your vehicle on arrival at the clinic so we can book you in over the phone. We can only allow a single client to accompany their pet into the clinic and only one client at a time. We will let you know once we are ready for you to come in.

- please advise us immediately if you think your pet requires urgent attention.

- please use the hand sanitiser provided upon entering the clinic.

- please maintain a safe 1 metre distance from staff whilst in the clinic. There will be some tape on floors to help with this.

- your pet may be taken out into our treatment area for examination to help maintain safe distancing.

- surfaces and contact points will be cleaned between clients.

- please do not enter if you are unwell or have any flu like symptoms.

Thank you all for your ongoing patience and understanding.

COVID-19

WAHVC is considered as Essential Services and will be OPEN during the level 4 lockdown implemented by the government.

In order for us to remain open we do need your help, support and cooperation. Please help us stay safe so we can keep your pets safe too.

We will still be seeing your pet in the case of an emergency or if they are very unwell.

- Please call us first to discuss.
- Please do not come to the clinic if you are unwell. Have someone else bring your pet.
- Upon arrival stay in your vehicle and call us to let us know you are here.
- One of our staff will collect your pet from your vehicle.
- Our duty vet will call you from the clinic if they require more information or need to discuss options and treatment plans.
- Once all done, your pet will be returned to you.
- Please pay by EFTPOS or preferably credit card over the phone. We will not be accepting cash payments during this time.

Your pet's health is our priority and we are doing our best to be here for them and for you throughout this process.

Thank you in advance for being patient and courteous to our staff as they have to juggle with strict Ministry of Health requirements, your safety, their safety and your pet's wellbeing.

WAHVC is looking for potential dog blood donors. For many procedures, a transfusion can make a huge difference to outcome. We are forever grateful for these often life saving and generous donations.

If you, or you know anyone that owns a fit healthy dog, with a good temperament, who is under 8 years old and over 25kg, then please contact us at the clinic.

We will discuss the process for becoming a potential donor with you in detail and answer any questions you may have.

As a token of our appreciation, each doggy donor will receive a complimentary bag of dry food each time a donation has been made.
