Yes, we’re moving to a newly renovated, purpose-built vet clinic, but don’t worry – we are NOT closing! 🐾🏥

Our new space is designed to provide even better care with state-of-the-art facilities and more room for your pets. While we make the move, we’ll still be here to care for your furry family members.

As part of this transition, our existing building is for sale. We appreciate your continued support as we make this exciting change!

🐾 We are growing our services! 🐾

We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve officially started training our skilled vets and nurses in orthopaedic surgery to provide the best care for your pets and working dogs.

This new training will allow us to offer basic orthopaedic services right here in our clinic, making it easier and more accessible for our community to receive top notch care when it comes to joint health, fractures and more! 🦴 🐕

The photos below show a huntaway pup who damaged a ligament in her leg and the wire repair made in surgery. She will wear a supportive cast for 6 weeks and we expect her to make a good recovery and start her working life on the farm

🚴‍♂️ Team Building with a View! 🚴‍♀️

Over the weekend, the Wairoa Farm Vets team swapped the farm for the tracks and took on the Gisborne Railway Bike Adventures! 🚂🚲 With stunning coastal views, great company, and a bit of pedal power, it was an epic way to recharge and enjoy the beautiful Mahia scenery.

A huge thanks to The Gisborne Railbike Adventure for an awesome experience—we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun adventure!

📢 Preg Testing Season in Full Swing! 🐮✅

We’re hard out preg testing cattle at the moment, helping farmers make informed decisions for the season ahead. Our scanning services allow us to:

✔️ Identify pregnant vs. empty cows
✔️ Scan cows into different cycles
✔️ Perform foetal ageing for more precise calving dates
✔️ Identify late calvers to assist with herd management

🐾 Tex’s Road to Recovery 🐾

Tex came to us with severe injuries to his back leg after being attacked by another dog. With prompt treatment, wound management, and dedicated care, he’s now well on his way to making a full recovery.
