‼️‼️ We are hiring for kennel staff!‼️‼️
We need one or more people to join our team in our Takapau kennels and cattery.
We are looking for a hardworking, reliable individuals who love animals. You MUST be comfortable around all breeds of dogs, VERY thorough with any and all cleaning, on time for your shifts, a team player when it comes to you and your coworkers, and of course, trustworthy. This position includes some weekend and holiday shifts as we work with animals and are here 7 days a week. We are hiring for both part-time and full-time positions.
We can send you detailed Job Description but here is a summary of what you’ll be doing:
Caring for dogs/cats daily: feeding, watering, brushing etc
Walking and exercising dogs throughout your shift
Giving emotional care and attention to the animals—love is part of the job
Cleaning kennels, bowls, bedding, and floors to keep the environment clean and safe
Picking up waste
Assisting with events, deliveries, or any jobs that need doing
What we’re looking for:
Prior animal care experience is preferred not required (full training will be provided) —however must be comfortable with dogs, including reactive ones, and, most importantly, just love animals.
Physically capable and active - able to lift 25 kg
Reliable, responsible, and consistent -our precious boarding animals depend on it.
Schedule & Availability:
We are hiring for both part-time and full-time roles
Must be willing to commit to a consistent schedule
Must be available to work holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed.
