A big thank you to Pelorus Area Health Trust for their support!!

We received funding at the beginning of this year to go towards vet fees to maintain top health for our treasured horses.

Our horses provide so much for our local community to a wide range of ages and abilities. It’s essential for them to be functioning at their peak to be able to offer all that they do.

From Vaulting for therapy, Vaulting classes, pre school, birthday parties, Holiday programmes and riding lessons!! They are the core of our club and all these wonderful activities.

We are grateful for your support, thank you. Here are all our stunning 4 legged teammates!!

We would like to make a special thank you to Waikanae Community Board

Late last year we received a generous fund to go towards one of our wonderful coaches salary, Emma.

In that time she has provided several vaulting for therapy rides to a wide range of our disabled community. Run riding lessons, birthday parties, helped with shows, holiday programmes and pre school classes. She helped greatly with general horse care and farm work necessary to keep our club running.

Thank you for supporting her so she can support this amazing club.

!!Horsey Holiday Programme!!🐎🤸🏽‍♂️

It's that time again, the school holidays are coming up and we will be running our holiday programme!! Make sure you book your kids in for an action-packed day/week on the farm, riding, Vaulting, brushing, washing, colouring in and leading horses!! Games, arts n crafts, and more!! No horse experience needed; we welcome all!!

Our programme will run:
Monday 30th June - Thursday 3rd July
& Monday 7th July - Thursday 10th July.
5&6yrs: half day 9am-12pm. Price $40
7yrs+: full day 9am-3pm. Price $70

Please bring morning tea, lunch and water. For our winter programme please pack warm clothes, we have a roof but no sides. Pack jackets, gloves, beanie, wear lots of layers, and bring gumboots!!

Funding appreciation!!

We have received some great funding this year, Waikanae Community Board funded part of our instructors wages - Emma. Waikanae Club helped fund a new hay steamer. Pelorus Area Health Trust have just given us funding for a new work computer and earlier this year for vet bills. Blue Sky for some Nova power Bills. One Foundation Limited for Autumn farrier services for our horses.

A special thank you and appreciation for Pub Charity Limited. They have been our biggest supporters this year, from the help towards our new float to a massive sum towards Hay and Feed for winter.

We wouldn't survive as a club without all the amazing support we get from our community.

Thank you to Laura who puts in so much time and effort towards the applications for the club. Also, Thank you to all our other sponsors and local businesses that are behind the club!!

Monday - One of the top Australian Vaulting teams, "Nexus Vaulters" is currently in Waikanae.

They are here to train on Kapiti Equestrian & Vaulting Centre's horses as they try to qualify to make it to the next world championships in 2026.

Before they leave they will be doing a demonstration on Wednesday 18th at 5:30pm at the Equestrian & Vaulting Centre (13b Nimmo Ave West, Waikanae)

Kapiti Equestrian & Vaulting Centre says ''we welcome everyone, entry is Koha donation. There will be hot drinks and baking on the day as well and we truly hope to see as many members of our community as possible to watch and support this team. The Koha donation will also help take our top 2 teams (and 2 of our horses) to compete in Sydney in March 2026.''

We have spaces in our Pony gym classes this term!

Bring your pre school aged children down for some pony fun and a gymnastic warm up!! They get to do pony games on horse bacm and learn some cool moves on our pony’s.

Classes are every Thursday 12pm-1pm during the school term.
