Did you know Upper Hutt Dog Training Club runs a kids class (Tuesdays 4:45-5:30pm).

The class teaches classic obedience skills and how to run basic agility courses as well as playing training/focus games. We train using rewards based training methods.

Enrolments are now open for Term 4 which will be running 3 September -11 October.

you can enrol your child in the class by going to our website and then clicking on 'apply for the class'.

Note: the child need to be over 6yo and dogs need to have passed Canine Good Basics class or equivalent and be over 1yo and well behaved around other dogs off lead.

Our story

Upper Hutt Dog Training Club is a family friendly club that provides training for pet dogs from basic good manners to the more active and technical pursuits like Agility, RallyO, Flygility and Obedience.

Our essential skills classes provide training in 9 different areas, and are based on the latest “Canine Basics” programme from DogsNZ. This leads on to Essential skills #2 where we introduce a range of skills that will be useful for people wanting better behaved dogs (Canine Good citizen), or who would like to pursue other activities such as Agility, RallyO, Flygility and Obedience competitions.
