Our horses and riders had an awesome day up at Waikanae Winter Series day 1 on Sunday 🫶

Millie and self produced CLS Chancellor jumping two very tidy rounds picking up a 4th in the 80cm and just one down in the 90cm, very impressed with how our Mousey is progressing, he is proving to us time and time again that he’s going to be a star in the future! 🐭🤩
Our gorgeous Appleton has recently made a comeback in his later years - now teaching his new young rider Brooklyn the ropes! They cleaned up in classic Apple style and took out the win in the 80cm and 2nd in the 70cm, not bad for a kid up against a class of adults! 🍎🏆🥇
Grazer Emma Scott on Weetbix also jumped a nice clean round and picked up 3rd in the 70cm! 🥉🤩

Such a great day for our wee team here at Cleveland! We absolutely love seeing our horses and riders out there winning the ribbons!
Special shoutout to grazer Kania for doing an amazing job on video duty!
and thanks so much to the team at Waikanae Pony Club who put on these events for us every year - they are a great chance to keep everyone moving through winter 💪
Onto the next one 🏆🙌➡️

As of today our gorgeous arena is open for bookings again!
With afew changes this time round..
Arena bookings will be taken the same as always through the website and money put in the box at the gate.
Our hours are still the same.

First change being our coach fee is now $20 per combination, so if you are bringing a coach, it is an extra $20 on top of your arena fee.

If you are under the age of 16 you MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian, this cannot a friend the same age.
In previous years we have had many young riders coming down without proper supervision and not respecting the rules.
We know how dangerous this sport can be and we want it to be a safe experience for everyone so please, follow the rules.

We have limited parking space so please if you can try to keep it down to one vehicle per booking so we don’t get clutter at the gate. Please try keep other unmounted spectators to a minimum, this is our home and our horses home, it is not not a riding school, so please don’t bring multiple people along to your booking with you that don’t need to be there.

Same rules and signs as in the past, but please, we put the signs up for a reason, even if you have been to Cleveland Stables many times, please read and follow the arena rules, they don’t change for different people, everyone please pick up your poo, everyone leave the jumps AS YOU FOUND THEM, this includes fill, strides and heights, if you move it, change it or put it away, please put it back as it was, yes this includes coaches to!!

We know that most of you are super lovely and respect Cleveland like how we do, which is great to see.

We love our arena as much as you guys do and just want it to be fun and safe for everyone involved!
Looking forward to seeing everyone again soon ❤️🐎

After shutting our gates over the summer break to do some maintenance. Cleveland stables is reopening again for 2024 very soon 🎉
We have added some more of our Treadlite rubber into the surface, given our jumps a bit of a clean up and have some more jumps on the way very soon!!

We have some exciting plans for this year and cannot wait to share them all with you.
We are going to be reopening with some rule changes which will be posted on here when we open.
We ask that all our clients please follow the rules this year so we can keep our lovely property open for all to enjoy.

This year we are also going to be planning some “jump club” sort of days, shows and clinics.

We want to hear from you in the comments as to what sort of events you would like to see Cleveland stables host, so we can cater to what our clients are after!

With winter well on its way now and the weather starting to pack in for the next few months, here at Cleveland Stables we are taking extra efforts to make sure our arena is well maintained all through winter. Unlike many other arenas, our arena drains extremely well and has limited wet patches, Making it ideal and safe for jump training year round! We are upping our arena grooming to more frequently through the colder months and the course will still be changed weekly!

Manager, Millie Purdom is still offering jump and flat lessons and schooling throughout winter months, however spots are filling up and you must email through www.clevelandstables.co.nz to book or through facebook messenger Millie Purdom Showjumping 🙂 So if you keen don’t hesitate to get in touch!

And finally, just another reminder to people please pick up your poo in our arena before leaving and please put the jumps away if you have moved them, the rules are there for a reason and it makes it a lot nicer for everyone involved if the rules are followed by everyone 🙂

Thanks and happy riding 🙂

Yesterday we got an exciting delivery of Treadlite NZ arena rubber to our arena! We spent this morning spreading it out over top of our lime and sand mix and it feels great!

At Cleveland our main focus is the well-being of our showjumpers and our clients horses, and adding the Treadlite to our arena has taken our arena to the next level and the surface is now spongey and feels awesome to ride on, I can already feel the difference in the horses.

We are over the moon with the final result and have already ordered some more to top the arena up when needed!

I gave my horse Larry a spin on the new surface this morning and he loves it, video is below - just look at him float 😍

Thank you so much to the team at Treadlite NZ!

Hello everyone, Hope you and your horses all had a safe and happy new year 🥳 We have afew new and exciting plans for the year ahead! The first being we are now irrigating our arena daily, we noticed the arena getting dry and dusty with the lack of rain recently so our new system keeps the surface fluffy and keeps the dust to a minimum, perfect for summer riding 👍

Another change is with the whole country having moved to the Red Traffic Light setting, We are still running as usual, however scanning in is required. We have a QR code on the barn door as your head down the driveway to the arena on your right. Please use this as we can then keep track of who is coming in and out. Please also try to keep support people to a minimum, if your jumping however it is necessary you have someone with you but please try and keep it to only one person per rider 👍 Masks are optional but we reccomend you have one with you to bring to your booking incase you come in close contact with any of us here.

Apart from that everyone stay safe and happy riding 🐴❤️
