Wally is still missing from Rockdale Road near Centre St. Hopefully heading toward Derwent St but could be anywhere now. He'll be cold, hungry and terrified in this weather. If you or someone you know is in this area please check your properties, we want him home!

OWNER HAS BEEN FOUND

"Puss In Boots" is now with SPCA Invercargill who are continuing the search for her owners.

If any of you detectives out there make contact with the owner or have any more information that may help, please give SPCA Invercargill a call.

We will be checking in with them next week for an update.

FOUND - Myross Bush

UPDATE: 03 Sep. "Puss In Boots" is now with SPCA Invercargill who are continuing the search for her owners. We have rung all the vet clinics but still no luck. If any of you detectives out there make contact with the owner or have any more information that may help, please call SPCA Invercargill

This gal was found hiding out at Myross Bush School.

She is microchipped and registered, however both phone numbers go straight to answer phone and the registered address is Mandeville!

Her registered name is "AID 117915 Pussinboots" which indicates she is an ex-SPCA cat. We have emailed the owner as well and hope they get back to us soon. For now, this lovely lady is out of the weather and doesn't have to hunker down under the chicken coup at the school!

If you happen to know her owners, please get them to contact us.

Still no luck getting in contact with the registered owners.

We don't like sharing information publicly without permission, but we feel it is now necessary to help us in our mission to reunite this gal with her family.

The registered owner's surname is ALLNUTT and the registered address is in Mandeville.

If this rings a bell to you, please reach out to them and see if this could be their cat.

Meet Barnaby

You know I'm a sucker for big tom cats (and ex tom cats) so we are very glad to welcome him to the rescue.

Barnaby (previously Blackie) was living in Tisbury as a semi stray. He had been desexed and chose a house to call his own, but the resident cat is not coping with him being around. Thankfully, his carer has a big heart and tried to rehome him but he was returned after only a week. Barnaby is now with us to try find him a home.

Barnaby is a big teddy bear. He will likely need a dental work up, but with a dental diet and some brushing we can improve the state of them for now. No issues identified at the vet today, just needs flea and worm treated and then we will get him booked for vaccinations.

Come on down to Animates today for our Adoption Day between 1pm and 3pm.

Otto has had another round of the sniffles but we have made the decision today he is well enough to come along for a bit of an adventure.

Otto is not well enough to be adopted today as he is on another course of antibiotics but you are welcome to come down, ask us about his health, personality, temperament and say hi to the little dude.

We will have application forms you can fill in if your home is a good match for him. While he gets better we will go through applications and contact the successful applicant when he is well enough to leave the rescue.

What Otto needs:
- quiet, patient home who understands he is still timid
- no young children
- experience grooming and maintaining a long haired cat
- another kitten or young cat
- fine with quiet dogs (with a slow introduction)

Otto's adoption fee will be $215

Due to an unexpected bereavement in the family, after our adoption day at Animates tomorrow we will be taking some time to slow down and focus on family.
