Auckland Puppy Rescue We rescue puppies, foster them with caring families, then adopt them to great new homes. Want to adopt a puppy? Want to foster a puppy?

We'd love to hear from you! We are a registered charitable trust - CC50834 We help unwanted puppies, keeping them safe and warm by placing them into responsible, loving foster homes. We provide them with the training and care they deserve before we find them great new homes. We support de-sexing to avoid bringing more unwanted pups into the world. Unwanted puppies are often taken away from mum too

early, and sold or given away with no concern as to where they end up. Unfortunately, in many cases those puppies end up either dumped, abused or life-chained - and often when those pups end up in the wrong hands the cycle of unwanted litters begins again. We need your help to stop the cycle to help give all puppies the best start in life.

✨🎄 Festive Wishes from Auckland Puppy Rescue 🎄✨

As we wrap up the year, our hearts are so full 💛
In 2025, we’ve fostered over 133 puppies 🐶🐾 — an incredible number for our (small but mighty!) rescue 💪 and something that’s only possible because of the love, dedication, and huge hearts of our amazing village 🥰👏

On top of that, we’ve helped around 47 pups make their journey to the South Island ✈️ to begin their new lives, while also supporting our community through desexing initiatives and food donations 🥘🐕

To our foster families, volunteers, adopters, supporters, and wider community — thank you for caring for and loving these pups as much as we do. You truly make everything possible 💛

We’re wishing everyone — two-legged and four-legged alike 🐾 — a wonderful, warm festive season, filled with sunshine (we hope! ☀️), kindness, love, and wagging tails 🎁🐶

✨ ❤️ Does your Christmas need a little Soul? 🎄✨

Soul is a joyful, cuddly 6–7-month-old pup who has already been through more than most — yet he’s chosen love, trust, and joy every step of the way. 💛

After being left outside for a week in all weather, Soul was rescued by kind neighbours and Auckland Puppy Rescue, and his new life began. Now safe in foster care, he’s discovering soft beds, tasty treats, and what it truly means to be loved.

He adores beach adventures, car rides, lying outside with his toys, and being wherever his humans are. He’s friendly with people, kids, and other dogs (after a good intro), crate-trained, eager to learn, and proudly mastered “paw” 🐾 — with the gentlest treat-taking you’ll ever see.

This special Christmas boy is dreaming of a family who will love him the way he’s always deserved — patient, kind, and ready to help him blossom 🌈

Can we please continue with the adventures of Remy, our wee lad? 🐾
From curious trolley rides through Bunnings, to proudly wearing his Christmas pyjamas out in public (oui, fashion icon 🎄), here he is sitting ever so politely for a festive snap. At home, Remy and his foster sister sit side-by-side watching the street and life gently pass by, and when the day winds down, Remy reveals his truly irresistible sweet sleep face — the kind that melts hearts instantly. So much love lives here. 🤍

To our dedicated and loving foster families who step up time and time again 💕, our wonderful supporters who share, comment, and cheer on our puppy posts 📣🐶, and everyone who bought raffle tickets so we can keep saving and supporting pups in need 🎟️🐾 — we are so grateful for you all.

Most importantly, thank you to the incredible adopting families who open their hearts, meet these special wee souls, and give them the forever homes they deserve 🏡❤️. You are truly magic ✨

Does your daily routine need a little ✨Soul✨?

Soul is a joyful, happy boy who just wants to go wherever you go and do whatever you’re doing!

At around 6-7 months old, he loves to be active and keep busy, and his favourite place to go is the beach. Between adventures, he’s happy chilling in the backyard with his toys.

Soul loves playing with other dogs after an appropriate intro, and he’s friendly with visitors, new people, and kids!

The best part? He’s easy to train 😍 (And those puppy p*e pad days are way behind him!)

Soul is great at walking on a leash outside, loves car rides, he’s crate trained, and he already knows several commands. He is learning to curb some typical teenage behaviours like chewing, and thanks to his rough start (he was abandoned in the backyard after his owners moved), he likes to have his food and treats all to himself if there are other dogs around.

Soul will thrive in a home where he can be active and learn with structure and routine.

Meet Pavlova 🐾💖

Pavlova is a sweet, floppy-eared 8-week-old Huntaway Cross female puppy with a heart full of love and a happy little bounce when she gets excited. She’s incredibly friendly and adores human company — cuddles on the couch are her absolute favourite, and she’ll happily ask to be picked up just to be close to you.

She loves playing chase and tug-of-war with her brother, zooming around the yard, then crashing into nap mode like a true puppy. Pavlova is clever and already working things out, confident with other dogs and cats, travels well in the car, and settles nicely in her crate. Like any pup, she’s still learning about the world — toilet training is underway and loud noises can be a little scary — but she’s doing her best and learning fast.

Pavlova would thrive in a loving home ready for puppy fun, gentle training, and lots of affection. If you’re looking for a cuddly best friend with a playful spark, Pavlova might be your girl 🐶✨

Born on 4 October, Mo is likely a Chocolate Staffy/Labrador cross 🐕✨. From day one, he’s been the bold, curious pup who takes the lead and brings a spark of energy wherever he goes 💛🌟.
Mo loves investigating new surroundings 🌿🔎, discovering new adventures 🚀, and showing his siblings how it’s done 🐾👑. He’s confident, inquisitive, and always ready to learn, explore, and have fun 🎉🐶.
He would suit a house with another dog due to a bit of seperation anxiety. Great with kids!
