🐾 Curious, Confident & Always Ready for His Next Adventure – Meet Vitali!

Male | Staffy Cross | Born 24 July 2026

Vitali is a confident, curious and adventurous little guy with a big personality! This playful pup isn't easily fazed by much, including loud noises or fast-moving things. He's a clever boy who is highly food motivated and loves learning new skills.

He has a fun way of showing he's enjoying life – barking with excitement and bunny hopping after his toys! When it's time to wind down, he'll grizzle as he gets comfy, tuck his head into you to hide his eyes and settle in for a nap. And don't forget his impressive post-nap yoga stretch!

❤️ What does Vitali love?
- Chasing toys, sniffing and exploring.
- Chewing (he is teething!).
- Playing with people and other dogs.
- Following you around the house.
- Cuddles and napping in your lap.
- Car rides and relaxing in his crate, as long as he can see you.

🎓 Training & Experience
🐾Vitali is already learning to sit on command and is working on "down". He's also learning that toys are for chewing, not hands, how to respect older dogs' boundaries and that his crate is a safe place for calm resting.
🐾 He's had experience with older dogs, both small and large, as well as pet birds. He hasn't been introduced to cats.
🐾 Vitali is currently practising being comfortable on his own, building up to short periods of separation and learning to settle independently.

🏡 His ideal home
🐾 Vitali will thrive with a confident adult who has plenty of time to dedicate to raising a puppy. He needs someone patient and consistent who can provide structure, positive training, boundaries and help him learn when it's time to switch off and rest.
🐾 With the right guidance, Vitali has all the potential to grow into an incredibly loyal, clever and wonderful companion.

💛🐾 SUNDAY SHOUT OUT – ANIMATES GREY LYNN! 🐾💛

At Auckland Puppy Rescue, we are incredibly lucky to have so many amazing stores and local businesses who open their doors to us and help make our adoption days possible. These partnerships play such an important role in helping our puppies meet their future families, and we are so grateful for every single one of them.

This week, we want to give a HUGE shout out to Animates Vetcare NZ - Grey Lynn Store! 🎉 Not only did they welcome us into their store for an adoption day last Saturday, but their incredible team went above and beyond to support our rescue.

They organised a sausage sizzle, bake sale and raffle, with all funds raised generously donated to Auckland Puppy Rescue. And if that wasn't enough, they also put together a boot full of goodies for our rescue, including puppy food and other much-needed supplies! 🐶❤️

From helping our puppies find homes to fundraising and donating essential supplies, the team at Animates Grey Lynn really pulled out all the stops.

💛 MEET PUNI – YOUR NEXT LOYAL WHĀNAU MEMBER! 🐾

Looking for a little best mate to fill your home with love, laughter and puppy cuddles? Meet Puni! 🥰

His name means "a loyal whānau member", and this handsome little Staffy cross is already showing all the signs of becoming just that.

At around 10 weeks old, Puni is still discovering the world, but here's what his foster family has learned so far.

Puni is a confident, easy-going little guy who doesn't seem fazed by much. Sudden noises don't bother him, and he's been happily sharing his space with cats, chickens and an older dog.

He's friendly, playful and loves nothing more than snuggling up to his humans for a nap. You'll also find him soaking up the sunshine whenever he gets the chance!

🎓 A CLEVER LITTLE PUP!
Puni is already showing he's a quick learner. He knows how to sit for attention, has mastered lying down and is learning the ropes of puppy life. He's food motivated and seems very trainable, so there's plenty of fun ahead for his future family.

❤️ HIS LITTLE QUIRKS
He has a serious soft spot for sheepskin slippers (so keep yours hidden!) and is happiest when he's getting cuddles or enjoying a sunny snooze.

Puni is still very young, and there's lots for him to learn about the big wide world. He'll need a family ready to continue his training, socialisation and puppy adventures.

🎃👻🐾 LET'S KEEP OUR PUPPIES SAFE THIS HALLOWEEN!

Halloween can be an exciting time for little trick-or-treaters, but for our four-legged friends, it can also bring a few frights of their own! Just ask our gorgeous APR puppies Zola, Vitali, Miso and Parker – they're here to remind you that a little extra care goes a long way! ❤️

Here are a few things to keep in mind this Halloween:
🍬 Keep treats out of reach – Chocolate and many Halloween sweets are toxic to dogs. Also the wrappers can be a chocking hazard. Replace the human treats with Puppy treats so they can enjoy the fun, safely.
🔊 Watch the noise – Fireworks, excited kids and unexpected sounds can be frightening, so give your pup somewhere quiet to relax.
🚪 Be prepared for visitors – Constant doorbell ringing and strangers coming and going can be overwhelming. Keep your puppy safely away from the front door.
👻 Don't force fancy dress – Costumes aren't for every pup! Keep them comfortable and let them opt out.
🎃 Watch those decorations – Pumpkins, candles, wires and little decorations can all become tempting chew toys.
🏡 Create a safe space – Sometimes the best Halloween treat is a cosy bed, familiar toys and a quiet night indoors.

Let's make sure Halloween is full of treats (the dog-friendly kind!), wagging tails and happy endings. 🧡

Hi, it's me, Indie! 👋 and my humans asked for help to rehome me.

Apparently, some of you might have been trying to get hold of my humans, but there's been a little mix-up with my phone number. I'm a clever girl, but even I can't answer calls to the wrong number! 🤦‍♀️😂

I'm Indie, a gorgeous 6-year-old Staffy/Shar Pei cross, weighing around 21kg. I'm fully vaccinated, healthy, have completed puppy training and I'm a big fan of cuddles, sunshine and a good game of fetch. ☀️🎾

I'm looking for a new home due to a change in my family's circumstances. I'm loyal, affectionate and intelligent, but I do best with patient people who understand me and can give me a little extra support while I settle in.

- Adults only or older, respectful children.
- No cats, please!
- Sensible introductions if there are other dogs.
- Someone home for much of the day while I adjust.

Some puppies want to be the life of the party. Miso? He's more of a save-me-a-spot-on-the-couch kind of guy! 🛋️💗

Miso is a confident, happy little guy who loves people, enjoys the company of other dogs and is always up for a bit of puppy fun. He's just a little more laid-back than his siblings, happily doing his own thing rather than fighting for the spotlight.

Zola is looking for someone to steal her heart… and she’s ready to give you hers! 🐾💘

Meet Zola, our gorgeous Collie/Staffy cross, born 3 June 2026 and currently being fostered in Stanmore Bay.

This girl has a heart FULL of love and enough affection to go around! 🥹💕 She adores her humans, loves everyone who visits, and if she had arms, she’d wrap them around you for the biggest cuddle imaginable. Her favourite place? Snuggled up beside you on the couch, preferably with a little cuddle wrestling thrown in!

What makes Zola’s heart happy?
🐾 Bush walks and outdoor adventures
🏊‍♀️ Swimming like an absolute superstar
🐱 Making friends with cats (she wants to play, not chase!)
🛋️ Couch cuddles and being close to her people
🧠 Keeping her clever little brain busy

Zola is a smart girl who needs an active, loving home with plenty of attention, enrichment and adventures. She wants to be part of the family and share in all the fun life has to offer. 💖

💙 A little note about her heart: Zola has a heart murmur, but her scan showed no structural issues with her heart. It appears to be muscular in origin, and a follow-up scan in 12 months is recommended to see how things are progressing. Her future family will need to keep this in mind and ensure she receives her follow-up care.

So, if you have room on your couch, space in your adventures and a little extra love in your heart, Zola might just be your perfect match. 🏡💘
