Happy Easter to all our furbabies and their paw-rents!
Just a reminder that the new pricing has now come into effect as of the 1st April 2026.
The price for a single cat per night is now $18.50 and the price for 2 cats from the same family sharing a unit is now $32 per night.

Hi fur-pawrents and fur-children 🥰😻
It's that time of the year where I have been reviewing costs and pricing. With operational costs continuing to increase, it means unfortunately my pricing will also need to increase slightly, while still trying to keep things as affordable as possible for you all.
With this in mind, from the 1st of April 2026 the price for a single cat will increase to $18.50 per night and the price for two cats (from the same family) sharing a unit will increase to $32.
Current pricing will remain in place until then. Guests that arrive from 1st April onwards will be charged at the new rate.

As always, your support is so appreciated and we love seeing you and your furbabies ❤️

It's hard to believe where the time goes! We (Flower&I) just celebrated 3 years here at Comfy Cats! 🥳🎉🎂 😻 and we just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for your continued support and the trust you put in us to look after your furchildren. Thank you for your kindness, understanding and the chats we have either in person, via messages or over the phone. You all (furbabies included) make it a pleasure to go to work (yes we know its only a matter of steps, but still lol) every day , and yes we do mean EVERYDAY 😂🥰😻🐾 heres to another fabulous year!

Flower (Comfy Cats 2iC, second in charge) and I just wanted to say a big thank you for all of the support and kind words we have had from those of you who spotted our article in the Ashburton Courier last week. It's been lovely and a little overwhelming to see the love that you all have for my little furbaby. We cannot thank you enough for your continued support in both the cattery and our first little children's book. If you're starting to think about Christmas and need a unique gift for children or those fellow animal lovers, we still have books in stock.

Also, just a heads up that we are currently fully booked in the cattery for Christmas and New Year. For those that have a booking I will be reaching out to confirm this at the end of the month as we know circumstances or plans can change so we just want to double check.

Hi fur-pawrents and furbabies, hope everyone is staying warm and dry on this wet, windy day! All guests here are warm, cosy and safe 🥰
Just some advanced warning that Comfy Cats will be closed for a week at the start of December this year (Monday 1st Dec - Monday 8th Dec) for a much needed break and quality time with Flower 🐕🐾 before the busy festive season.

Hi all and happy 2025 to everyone! I hope this year is treating you and your families and furchildren well so far.
Just a couple of quick updates for everyone.
A reminder that pick up/drop off hours are either in the morning between 8am - 10am or in the afternoon between 4pm - 6pm. Viewing by appointment is welcome for new fur-parents :)

Current prices will remain in place for January and February.
While Comfy Cats tries to keep things as affordable as possible for our fur-guests, due to the increase in costs (of everything) over the past two years it is now necessary to increase the price at Comfy Cats slightly as well.
With this in mind, as from the 1st March 2025 the price for the stay of a single cat per night will be $16.50 and for two cats (sharing) per night will be $28.00.

As always thank you for your continued support and I look forward to seeing you and your furbaby(s) soon.

Hi all, hope everyone is staying safe and not getting blown away in this windy weather! Just a quick message to let you all know that Comfy Cats will be closed from 8th - 11th December 2024. This will give this owner and her furchild a much needed break before the craziness of the Christmas and New Year Period.
For those of you booked in during the Christmas period I will be contacting you next month just to check that there hasn't been any change in your circumstances.

Give your furbabies all a pat (and a cuddle if they allow hehe) from Aunty Abby and Flower! And as always thank you for your continued support.

Update: Fabulous news everyone. Darling Sasha has found her new furever home. I just know her and her new mum will be so happy together and are the purr-fect fit. Thank you for sharing and for your help in ensuring a happy ending for this wonderful little girl.

Hi all, I don't normally do this but posting on behalf...
Due to a change in circumstances, sadly wee Sasha needs a new furever home. She is a dear wee cat who loves nothing more than a cuddle and to curl up next to you or in your lap. During her holidays at Comfy Cats, she is always super clean (not a single accident) and eats well. She is the model guest 😻🥰 please if you or someone you know would be keen to give this lovely girl a new home let me know and I can pass details on.

Exciting news...the wait is finally over! I'm pleased to confirm that our little children's book on Flower's island adventures is now available to purchase. Available here at Comfy Cats and also at the Berry Barn Bakery in Geraldine. Pick up your copy for $17.99.
We hope that you enjoy our book as much as Flower and I enjoyed writing it 🥰🐶🐾
