It's been a while since you've heard from me, and it's because I've been struggling since Skye and Lexi's passing.

Losing a 14year old companion and having one of my beautiful adopted cats shot and killed in Churton Park just several weeks prior has been a huge hit on my mental and physical health, and I'll be honest, I'm finding it extremely difficult to push through the fog.

I am depressed, my body clock is haywire and I'm only getting by thanks to the support I have, and the cats that need me. I'm not sure how I'll get out of this... Time I suppose.

Our intake remains closed as our vet account is still high. We managed to get it down from 12K to 8K, but we are still struggling. Until this is at 0 we cannot reopen.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated 🙏 We have a grant to help with August/September rent, food, litter and future vet bills, but it doesn't pay off what we owe - which is the priority. Thanks all so much.

🩷 MISS BIRDIE 💜

Once a cautious kitten from a small outdoor colony with a friendly mother, Miss Birdie has transformed since discovering the joys of laps and pets—there's no turning back now! 🤗

Beneath her stunning coat of ginger, brown, caramel, and white, which is impossibly soft, lies a playful girl eager to play, nap, and do it all over again.

With all the bouncy, pouncy energy of a young cat, she’ll pounce on your toes under the duvet if she spots them moving. When it’s time for cuddles, she’s incredibly gentle as she climbs up and snuggles in.

A true fan of head rubs and back scratches, just be careful not to touch that fluffy tummy! She has a cheeky side, so keep an eye on her when she’s on the kitchen counter—she once swiped a meatball when we weren’t paying attention.

Miss Birdie gets along well with other cats and enjoys a good game. While we haven’t introduced her to dogs or children yet, she has made significant progress, and with a little patience, she could be a great fit for a young family.

Viola is a gentle, serene, and soft-spoken girl. She is a velvety grey beauty with captivating green eyes.

She adores a good petting session and responds with a delightful purr. Once a mama's girl, she is maturing into the sweetest and most affectionate companion! She enjoys climbing onto laps and will flourish in a peaceful environment where her true gorgeously sweet personality can shine.

A calmer household would be best suited. Ideal for teenagers and older. Viola gets along well with both cats and dogs.

Morty has been missing since Sunday 2nd August from Rosina Street/Totara Park Road Area. He is a big tabby boy, green eyes and was wearing a neon Orange collar.

He is microchipped and registered with NZCAR.

He has recently been adopted so is a little nervous but friendly.

Dusky is in need of a man in his life! ♂️

This charming feline is the quintessential man's cat. An independent bachelor, Dusky runs his own little empire but makes sure to seek affection and attention at least once a day.

He loves to perch atop his cat tower and is quite skilled at scratching it. Food is his ultimate motivator; treats and meals are the keys to his heart. Dusky has a peculiar fascination with bathrooms and craves attention while you're in there 😂. He thoroughly enjoys joining you for your morning bathroom routine, happily keeping you company.

He prefers to snuggle up on his human but is perfectly fine sleeping beside you if you tend to move around a lot at night. Playtime is a must for him, especially with feathered toys and interactive wands, which are his absolute favorites.

It's no exaggeration to say that Dusky truly needs a man in his life—while he does enjoy the company of women, he has a clear preference for male companionship.🕺

With his sleek black fur, striking olive green eyes, and dapper white bowtie, Dusky is sure to capture your heart.

He would thrive as the only cat in the household. Having been confidently outdoors before, Dusky would relish the chance to roam freely in a secure environment once again.

Skye is doing so well considering the circumstances 💕 We're back to the vet tomorrow for our 4th fentanyl patch change and you wouldn't think she has jaw cancer otherwise.

On another upside I am fairly sure we have defeated the dreaded ringworm 💪 We have 1 more week of meds left after 10 long weeks of quarantine and medication. The affected skin patches have gone, fur is growing back and things are looking good! 👏

Thanks to you all we've got our vet account down from 14K to 11K, 76 mouths are fed and we're so grateful 🙏 Every donation is keeping us afloat! If this keeps up we'll be in a much better position for the upcoming warmer months.

🐾 KITTENS LOOKING FOR A HOME 🐾

😺 KAHLÚA & JOHNNIE WALKER
These two handsome boys are a little timid and shy and they're still learning that the world isn't such a scary place. They're growing braver every day, especially with patience, love, and plenty of encouragement. Johnnie (Tuxedo) is slowly discovering that chin scratches are pretty wonderful—especially when they're paired with tasty Churu treats. With a caring furr-ever home, these sweet boys will continue to blossom and build their confidence.

Both boys have mastered using the cat door, and Kahlúa (Tabby & White) has even started enjoying little adventures in the backyard before the comforts of home lure him back inside. Every day brings a little more confidence.

🐈 ALIZÉ
Alizé (Brown Tabby) is a sweet, gentle boy who loves tummy rubs and all the affection that comes with them. He's still a little shy while he gets to know you, but with a bit of patience and love, he'll quickly come out of his shell and thrive in his furr-ever home.

🐈‍⬛ SAMBUCA
Sambuca (Black) loves snuggles, and is always up for a cuddle. He's a smoochie, adventurous boy with a curious spirit who enjoys exploring. He's also incredibly vocal and has the loudest, happiest purr, making sure everyone knows when he's enjoying himself. When Churu treats come out, though, all bets are off—he turns into a total little savage until he's had every last bite!

🎈 PLAYTIME FAVOURITES:
These four are full of fun and always ready for their next adventure! They love playing together, chasing, wrestling, and keeping each other entertained. They'll happily play with just about anything that catches their attention—balls, toy mice and cars, tunnels, rope toys, and anything else they can chase or bat around. They've even been known to cheekily sneak shells out of the plant pots to use as their own toys! Their playful antics, curiosity, and boundless energy are guaranteed to keep you entertained and smiling every day.

Calm and nurturing environments are ideal for these rescue kittens, where a caring and patient family can support their growth and development.
