As the Rhodesian Ridgeback World Congress in Prague comes to a close, we would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to the organisers, committee members, speakers, and everyone involved in making the event such a success.
The Congress provided several days of fascinating lectures, open discussion, and valuable opportunities to explore topics that are important to the future of our breed. It was particularly rewarding to be included in the judges' discussions surrounding acceptable ridges and temperament, conversations that are both important and necessary as we continue to preserve and protect the Rhodesian Ridgeback.
Events like this are a wonderful way to bring together people from around the world who share the same passion, dedication, and love for this remarkable breed. It was fantastic to reconnect with old friends, strengthen existing friendships, and make many new connections along the way.
The social programme was equally enjoyable, with the gala dinner, river cruise, and dinner through Prague providing wonderful opportunities for fellowship and conversation outside the lecture hall. The ghost walk through the city also provided plenty of laughter and memorable moments.
Although the Congress officially closed on Friday, we rounded off a wonderful week by attending the CKRR Club Show. It was lovely to see so many Rhodesian Ridgebacks gathered together, meet more passionate breed enthusiasts, and continue building connections within our global Ridgeback community.
Thank you to everyone who made us feel so welcome throughout our time in Prague. We leave feeling inspired, better informed, and grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a special event. The Congress has once again demonstrated the strength of our international Ridgeback family and the shared commitment we all have to the preservation, health, temperament, and future of this incredible breed.
Congratulations to the Swiss Rhodesian Ridgeback Club on your successful bid to host the World Congress in 2030 alongside your 50th Anniversary celebrations, and to the Spanish Rhodesian Ridgeback Club on securing the 2034 Congress. We look forward to supporting both events and continuing these important conversations for the benefit of our breed.
