"Cat Grooming Advice"
"To be aware"
A cat sheds their undercoat and fur becomes caught in the top coat. It can become matted which occurs in places such as chest, between the legs and under arms. Dead skin mixes with fur and creates matting.
It is important to remove matting. When left they grow tighter and closer to the skin. This can be painful,irrate and inflame the skin which risks infection.
If the matting is severe your vet is best option. Removing under sedation.
Regular grooming will keep your cost down and much more comfortable for your cat.
Approximately 3 monthly depending on your cat for grooming.
