We are getting things ready to start some new RDA riding sessions on Fridays, but we need your help. Have you always wanted to volunteer with us, but didn't have the time or the days didn't suit? Are you aged 16 or over and love working with animals and children? Are you keen to give something back to your community? We'd love to have you come and help us out on Fridays starting soon. Huge thanks to The Men's Shed and Bunnings Silverdale for their amazing help in creating and planting two new herb boxes for our horses. The theory is that once the plants are established, the horses will help themselves to whatever their body needs. Bunnings also provided some other materials to keep things running smoothly.

Our Horse Manager has been working overtime and we also welcome the cutest boy Taurimu Tudor aka "T***s" a 13.2hh grey Welsh pony. He has been a top show pony is his past, competing at the Horse of the year (HOY) as well as show jumping. T***s came to us from Waiuku after his two previous riders had outgrown him. He has been with us for a few weeks and is already showing us his sweet and gentle nature. T***s has a lovely active walk and narrow build which will enhance the therapeutic experience for our smaller riders.

Please note that the Annual General Meeting of North Shore Riding for the Disabled Association Incorporated will take place on Wednesday, 20th May, starting at 1.30pm.
The venue will be our premises at 79 Aubrey Road, Stillwater.
All are welcome, although only Financial Members will be able to vote.

The second of our 3 new ponies - meet lovely Harley, a 14.2hh Palomino Quarter horse X pony. She arrived very recently and has already settled in and is making friends. She has lots of previous experience at Pony Club. Harley prefers a gentle pace of life, and North Shore RDA was very lucky to be chosen to be her new home from lots of potential buyers. So far, she has shown herself to be a gentle soul and will no doubt be treasured by NSRDA.

We welcome beautiful Sapphire to North Shore RDA! She is a 14.2hh liver chestnut pure bred Arab mare. Her registered name is "Airs & Graces" Sapphire has been with us for several weeks and came to us from her previous owner as it was time for her to slow down. She is a real people pony and loves to be around all our volunteers. She has flown through the RDA induction process like an absolute star and the riders are looking forward to her being in the programme.
